Abstract: Epicentral distance and seismogeonic fault distances as crucial ground motion parameters of attenuation relationship are widely accepted indexes for rapid assessment of seismic scenario. Based on the geographical information of 379 heavily damaged dams in Wenchuan Earthquake, 2008, China, the distribution of damaged dams is analyzed statistically. Specifically, the correlation of damage rate & epicentral distance and that of damage proportion & seismogenic fault distance are compared, and corresponding equations are developed respectively using least square methods. The investigation shows that there exists a closer relationship between seismic damage and seismogenic fault distance than between damage and epicentral distance for Wenchuan earthquake. It is concluded that the index of seismogenic fault distance is more applicable to large earthquake, while Epicentral distance is a more accurate index for small and mid-level earthquakes.

Abstract: The friction force at movable supports has a certain influence on the seismic performance of the continuous beam bridge, so, the friction force should be taken into account in the seismic design of the bridges. The analytic model of the continuous bridge which including the effects of friction force at movable supports was put forward, and the analysis was done with the application of friction element. Through the analysis of a certain continuous beam bridge, the results indicate that the friction force can greatly decrease the earthquake action of this continuous beam bridge. And some suggestion on the bearing selection and the anti-seismic measure were also put forward according to the analysis.

Abstract: This paper built the two-dimension equivalent model of mega-sub controlled structure system (MSCSS) and mega frame structure, make an analysis of elastic-plastic time history with the different seismic records of observed data. The research of displacement, acceleration and distribution of plastic hinges obtained by the test can illustrate the controlling characteristics of these two structures. The results show that within the elastic-plastic state, mega-sub controlled structural system still have good response control effect; the control effectiveness of the mega frame and sub-structures of the MSCSS is better than that of the mega frame structures.

Abstract: Steel tube filled with steel high-strength concrete composite column which is made by insert into the I-beam inside the steel tube, and then poured into the high-strength concrete, to form a composite structure. It preserves the advantages of concrete filled steel tube and steel skeleton concrete, and has a higher carrying capacitybetter seismic performance and fire resistance, satisfy the needs of modern engineering structures towards large spanhigh-riseheavy-load and harsh conditions direction development, has broad market prospects. This paper mainly from the work principlemechanical characteristics and current situation of the development the three aspects elaborated the present stage study the significance on the seismic performance of steel tube filled with steel high-strength concrete.

Abstract: Modal analysis is also known as dynamic analysis for mode-superposition method. In the seismic response analysis of linear structural systems, it is one of the most commonly used and the most effective ways. Through the modal analysis of building structure, we can get some basic performance parameters of the structure. These parameters can help us make qualitative judgments for the respond of a structure first, and can help us judge whether they meet demands for conceptual design. Modal analysis is also the basis of other dynamic response analysis, including dynamic time history analysis and response spectrum analysis.

Abstract: As a new kind of bridge structure, multi-tower self-anchored suspension bridge (MSSB) has complicated mechanical characteristics. So far, the research on dynamic performance of MSSB is limited to theoretical and numerical simulation. Based on the first three shaking table system in China, shaking table test of MSSB is carried out. The modal test and seismic excitation test show that the performance of fundamental mode shape is anti-symmetric vertical bending vibration of girder, coupling with longitudinal bending vibration of middle tower. Seismic response of middle tower is greater than side towers. At last, 3D finite element model of test specimen is established and test process is numerical simulated by FEM. Simulated result is agreed well with test record.

Abstract: Rural buildings are subject to the most serious damage and the highest collapse ratio in earthquake disaster. It is urgent at present to develop seismic isolation technologies applicable to rural buildings under current rural economic conditions of China. Through comparing the existing domestic seismic isolation technologies in respects of the acquisition difficulty level, price and friction coefficient of material and the placement of sliding material, and analyzing the result of simulated shaking table test respectively with the gravel foundation isolation technology and the gravel sliding isolation technology, this paper points out matters needing attention during the development of seismic isolation technologies for rural buildings.

Abstract: The response of the long-span cable-stayed bridges under seismic load is complex. Reasonable methods is very important to analyze the seismic performance. In this paper, a practical project is taken as research background which is double pylon cable-stayed bridge with main span of 416m. Two artificial seismic waves and two seismic records were selected to analyze the seismic behaviors by the response spectrum method, time history analysis method and power spectrum method. The result shows that seismic responses of the girder and main tower are basically identical under the effect of artificial seismic wave. The response spectrum analysis results of them are between the other two methods under the effect of the natural seismic wave. For stay cable, time history analysis results has great difference compared with results of other two methods. Therefore, different methods should be choosed base on specific circumstances to analyse the earthquake response of this structure.

Abstract: This study examines the dynamic performance of Yellow River Extra-large Bridge within Baotou to Shulin Ju Expressway, with measured seismic response spectrum and designed earthquake response spectra as well as dynamic time history analysis, to provide a basis for seismic design. This bridge is located at the strong earthquake zone with basic earthquake intensity of VIII degree, which has characteristics such as low pier, long span. Taking the approach spans of this bridge over the South Levee for example, research on dynamic performance of joint three-span (40m +70 m +40 m) girders for continuous prestressed concrete bridge with non-prismatic cross-section was made by using the Midas/Civil2012 finite element program to create a three-dimensional space simulation model, according to the Guidelines for Seismic Design of Highway Bridge (JTG/TB02-01-2008).
