Abstract: The Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), based on the combination of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation and AHP, is introduced in this paper and C# language is proposed to program its mathematical model. Moreover, such program is applied in the actual selection of the electrical heat tracing elements in oil pipeline system. The application shows that it is scientific, reliable, accurate, simple and rapid, which makes it suitable for other evaluations.

Abstract: Tool wear monitor is one of the critical issue in industry, accurate prediction of tool life can guarantee surface quality, the new method of tool wear stated recognition was proposed with application of wavelet neural networks (WNN). An application of differential evolution (DE) algorithm was introduced to training artificial neural networks. The three layer wavelet neural network was constructed and optimized with differential evolution algorithm. Cutting force and cutting noise was monitored and the signal was processed as training samples for wavelet neural networks. Simulation with BPNN, WNN and DEWNN to show the new method can avoid normal neural networks with convergence quality and enhance learning speed, also the diagnosis precision and efficiency was improved.

Abstract: Thermal load oozing out through the door is the main aspect of the temperature zone heat loss of continuous diffusion furnace. In this paper, multi-layer gas curtain is designed to seal the furnace door in order to reduce heat loss and ensure furnace temperature to meet requirements in regulation. The unsteady flow is presented to better reflect complex time-varying velocity and temperature of curtain gas. Flow and temperature field of continuous diffusion door with multi-layer air curtain are numerically analyzed by Renault model and experimentally tested. And the influence parameters are tuned and optimized based on the theoretic numerical analysis and experiment results.

Abstract: This paper presents modeling and analysis of machining characteristics of Micro Wire Electro Discharge Machining (Micro-WEDM) process on Aluminium alloy (AL 2024 T351) using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The input variables of Micro-WEDM process were voltage, capacitance and feed rate. The surface roughness is considered as a response variable. Experiments were carried out on Aluminium alloy using Central Composite Design (CCD). The RSM and ANN models have been developed based on experimental designs for surface roughness. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) has been employed to test the significance of RSM model. It has been found out that all the three process parameters are significant and their interaction effects are also significant on the surface roughness. Finally predicted values were compared with both modeling methodologies RSM and ANN.

Abstract: By the analysis of the localizations existing in current electronic laboratory, the architecture of electronic laboratory based on combining virtual environment and hardware environment is proposed in order to overcome those localizations. The corresponding laboratory is built by using of Proteus software and our hardware environment. The result from application indicates that experiment teaching effect depended on this platform is improved obviously. Though using this platform, the students experimental interests and innovative abilities are cultivated.

Abstract: The paper discusses the possibility of phonemes generation based on a recurrent neural network model. In each phoneme a typical or elemental pattern can be identified that repeats itself with slight fluctuations along the signal length. This elemental pattern constitutes the training data for the recurrent neural network. After training, the network can generate three new periods of elemental patterns. In a repetitive loop the network can generate the entire phoneme signal. The model proved very simple and effective, and the generated phonemes gave the impression of a natural sound.
