Abstract: 10,000 ft horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing with 24 to 36 stages are prominent in Bakken petroleum system with great success. Although advanced automated drilling system with cutting edge comprehensive logging units are available from service providers to obtain various data assisting comprehensive real-time analysis, conventional positive displacement motor (PDM) with mud-pulse (MP) measurement while drilling (MWD)/logging while drilling (LWD) system is still widely applied in this area to steer and navigate the well bore in pay zone with cost-effectiveness and efficiency. In this paper, several field cases for MP MWD/LWD systems will be discussed and lessons will be summarized to help optimize rate of penetration (ROP), reduce non-productive rig time, and improve operators drilling practices.

Abstract: In order to reveal the breakage mechanism of flat end mill under periodic thermal shock, transient temperature field model of chisel edge were established by heat source method, transient temperature field model of side edge were established along the sliced differential elements from the bottom of the flute toward the final axial depth of cut by means of line heat source. The simulation results show that transient temperature field prediction model can be used for prediction transient temperature field in high speeding.

Abstract: In this paper, a typical free allocation model of allocating Total Permitted Pollution Discharge Capacity (TPPDC) is analyzed, and a uniform price auction model with fixed supply by using a set of conditions and mechanism assumptions is presented. By theoretical analysising and examples validating, the conclusion can be drawn that the bidders collusion and low-price equilibrium will easily occur in this uniform price auction mechanism. So we give some improved methods based on the strategies of uncertain supply and optimized supply which can effectively restrain tacit collusion and reduce many low-price equilibriums.

Abstract: In China, provinces are the basic units for carrying out the highway emergency material reserve layout. From the perspective of resource distribution, this paper applies the modern location theory, operation research, the optimal path search and other technologies to establish the provincial highway emergency material layout optimization goal and to construct the related algorithm. Furthermore, Jilin Province is taken as an example to prove the validity and reliability of the algorithm. This paper tries to offer the theoretical guarantee for the provincial research of emergency materials reserve network and to provide the guideline for the related management and development.

Abstract: Carbon footprint is used to measure the impact of products or services on environment in recently years. The main technology in evaluating carbon footprint comes from LCA and PAS2050. However, the detail in calculating carbon footprint is not well studied. In this paper, the focus was drawn on the processing sectors. Due to the statistical character of data collected in processing sectors, the GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model) is introduced to calculate carbon footprint. With this method, the statistical meaning of carbon footprint data is well understood.

Abstract: Tiered pricing of household electricity is a new price measure using economic leverage to encourage energy conservation and emission reduction in electric power industry. Based on demand side response theory, the coal-saving optimization model of tiered pricing was established and the coal-saving effect under different structure of coal-fired units was studied. The results of case study indicate that the economic leverage role of tiered pricing will promote the clean energy power generation connecting to the grid effectively, and the coal-saving effect of tiered pricing in the areas with high comprehensive coal consumption rate of power generation will be more remarkable.

Abstract: Inventory inaccuracy deriving from the distortion of inventory information may possibly result in the stock out in supply chain system, spawning a great number of economic losses. Dealing with this problem, the partners in the supply chain can choose to introduce the advanced automatic identification system. In this paper, considering a three-level supply chain facing stochastic demand and suffering from inventory inaccuracy, we present a simulation model to study the increase of revenue when the supply chain introduces RFID technology. We compare the revenue of the supply chain system in two situations: The first situation deals with the case where the supply chain operates with inaccurate inventory information. In the second situation, RFID technology is introduced to eliminate the inventory inaccuracy. Further, we investigate the benefits of using RFID technology to eliminate the inventory inaccuracy within the supply chain.

Abstract: Multi-attribute auction is a kind of market mechanisms, which enable automated negotiation on multiple attributes of a deal. In order to know the research history and the newest research trends for the research on multi-attribute auctions, this paper presents widespread theoretical and applications problems of multi-attribute auctions in the fields of auction automatic control and mechatronic engineering . The multi-attribute auction models are divided into two kinds (i.e. game theory model and decision theory model). Assumptions, main ideas, and conclusions of literature related to these two kinds of models are reviewed and commented.

Abstract: The generation of design concept is the first step in the process of design which related the design direction and thematic. Design psychology is a new cross subject. Both seemed unrelated, actually, it is a close relationship between them. Design psychology is an auxiliary of helping Design concept creation. Design psychology is the basis and skills of the design concept. In this paper two angles from design concept and design psychology at first to assumed, then the relations between design concept and design psychology are analyzed. The target is use of design psychology‘s knowledge to improve the design concept better so as to lead a good design.

Abstract: With the accelerated urbanization process and the improving of peoples living standard, China's building energy consumption shows rigid growth trend. Under the promotion of industrialization, the level of energy efficiency of industrial sector goes up fast, while the energy conservation potential in industrial field declines, building energy efficiency turns out to be the key to accomplish this goal. This paper analyzes in depth building energy consumption data and brings up the methods of creating the building energy consumption and conservation models. Through measurement of building energy consumption in subentry, the data of building materials, construction, equipments and maintenance are collected, and the building management & control methods are investigated as well. Based on the data collected and investigation results, the linear regression model and decision tree model are created. The models can be used to forecast the building energy consumption and analyze the dependency between each statistic. Based on the dependency and the forecast, the energy saving model is created. With the ant colony algorithm being used, the best solution of the lowest energy consumption is found.
