Abstract: Small town is the breakthrough point to quicken urbanization. This paper analyses many problems during the small towns construction in the less developed areas such as conservative ideas, the low level of urban planning, lack of economic dynamism and the negligence of cultural advantage. The characteristic innovations on concept, planning, economy, culture and architecture are put forward, for developing its distinct local characters and advantages.

Abstract: This article is to analyze the necessity of renewing existing residential districts to be sustainable ones and define the concept of sustainable residential districts in accordance with the theory of sustainable development. On the basis of objective analysis for the disadvantages of existing residential districts, it puts forward some principles and corresponding countermeasures of renewal for sustainable development of existing residential districts.

Abstract: The basic theories of TOPSIS and grey correlation are studied firstly. Aiming at the quality evaluation of equipment in use-phase, the comprehensive evaluation model combined TOPSIS and grey correlation theory is built. On this basis the model is verified by the related equipment quality data of three engineering units. According to the calculation results, the evaluation method is demonstrated feasible and effective.

Abstract: This paper mainly focuses on the application of the large-span tubular truss structures in engineering. Taking a 60 meters cross-connections tubular truss with sliding supports used at one end of a cultural center project as an example, the problems of free vibration and optimum design of the structure are discussed in detail. The outcomes of this paper provide some reference for the design and construction of the congener structure

Abstract: As urban bottleneck sections are important reasons that contribute to urban traffic congestion, the effective solutions for them can greatly ease traffic congestion. After the convey of the present traffic and traffic flow of the Ba Liqiao segment of the Latitude 12th Road, which is the typical bottleneck section, the paper puts forward the optimization program and uses VISSIM to simulate the Ba Liqiao segment of Latitude the 12th Road of Jinan City. The optimized evaluation results of this bottleneck section are given out.

Abstract: This paper is based on the investigation of the current status of the disaster prevention signs for public buildings (such as libraries) and the analysis of relevance between disasters and the disaster prevention signs, puts forward new proposals for the design method of disaster prevention sign cognition system for public buildings through three aspects, the region division, the setting of level and the systematic design. With the introduction of zoning and the combination to the grade-level of library buildings, the method is raised to set the level of disaster prevention sign system to ensure the efficacy and economy of the signs. As to the disaster prevention signs itself, reinforced on the design of disaster prevention sign system in the forms, details and humanistic aspects, can observably improve the design of the sign system and achieve the unity, continuity and systematicness of the disaster prevention sign system, which can also optimize and improve the cognitive effect of the disaster prevention signs finally.

Abstract: Recent years, many infrastructures, say building structures and bridge structures, have suffered from multi-hazards. According to official reports, 286 fires broke out due to the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake, and fire after 1995 Kobe earthquake destroyed almost 7000 buildings. Current design codes treat earthquakes, fires and explosions as completely independent. The application of multi-hazard design is essential for improving the safety of structures, reducing building life cycle costs and increasing efficiency. In this paper, some influential multi-hazard incidents are described primarily, and the state-of-the-art and research needs on multi-hazard design are presented.

Abstract: Combined with a design of steel reinforced concrete (SRC) transfer beam in a tall building, and by analyzing interaction between transfer-beam and shear wall by the finite element method, the optimal model is set up. It is to minimize the total cost subjected to constraint of bearing capacity etc. By proper optimal method, the model of SRC transfer beam is optimized. The results show that the beam size achieves a fair division subjected to the condition of strength, structure etc. Meanwhile, actual design software indicates that the optimized data meet the design.

Abstract: This article based on detection and identification of a building after fire, to introduce the scene investigation contents and methods in detail, through the analysis of test results to evaluate the damage of structure, then puts forward comprehensive appropriate disposal suggestions, to provide reference for the detection and identification of construction after fire in future.

Abstract: The grid structure often overall failed dut to local damage under the disaster load. In order to avoid the situation, the load cases of the plate truss structure under vertical load are analyzed in this paper. Taking the measure of strengthening the important bars, the ultimate bearing capacity of the structure is improved significantly. The improved load bearing capacity plays a positive role in resisting exceeding loads. Anti-disaster ability of the structure is improved.
