Abstract: This research into the development of high compressive strength brick reports the experiment of the high compressive strength brick made out of alumina and rice husk ash with the following ratios: 40:60, 50:40, 60:40, 70:30 and 80:20, with 10% or 15% of sodium silicate according to weight. The burning temperature was set at 1,000 °C and 1,200 °C. It was found that in term of density, the brick with the ratio of 80:20 with 15% of sodium silicate yielded the highest density with 3.3 g/ cm3. As for the compressive strength, the brick with the ratio of 80:20 with 10% of sodium silicate burned at 1,200 °C yielded the compressive strength of 528 kg/cm2. The brick with the ratio of 80:20 with 10% of sodium silicate had the lowest absorption of 15.68%. As for the shrinkage, the brick with the ratio of 40:60 with 10% of sodium silicate had the highest shrinkage of 1.98%.

Abstract: The effect of fine sand replacement by the sugar sediment (0, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 weight %) on the physical and mechanical properties was studied in this work. The physical and mechanical properties of AAC with various contents of sugar sediment were focused on the density, the humidity, the water absorption, the open porosity volume, the compressive strength and the flexural strength. The average density, humidity, water absorption, volume of open porosity, compressive strength and flexural strength of all compositions had the value in the range of 0.57-0.61 g/cm3, 23.0-26.7 %, 0.38-0.40 g/cm3, 259-287 cm3, 4.4-5.9 N/mm2 and 1.03-1.82 N/mm2, respectively. The maximum compressive strength and flexural strength were found from the AAC sample with the sugar sediment content of 30%, which were 5.9 N/mm2 and 18.14 N/mm2. Moreover, these samples also exhibited the density (0.60 g/cm3), the humidity (23.6%), the water absorption (0.39 g/cm3) and the volume of open porosity (272 cm3) were claimed in quality class of 4. The specimens of AAC with the sugar sediment content of 0-40% were claimed in quality class of 4, which based on the Thai Industrial Standard 1505-1998.

Abstract: In galloping of transmission lines, the twist of bundled conductors plays an important role. So the research of torsional stiffness of conductors-spacers for in-depth study of the galloping of the transmission lines is important. In addition to considering the impact of previous studies involving some of the torsional stiffness of bundled conductors factors (such as the torsional stiffness of sub conductor, the actual tension, etc.), but also the effects of sag and line height difference are considered. Finally a theoretical torsional stiffness of conductors-spacers formula is deduced. With the previous formula and the measured data on the different conductor types, different sub conductor spacing and different initial tension conditions, theresults of this formula are closer to the measured data.

Abstract: By the study of changes in housing prices in Chines domestic during 1997-2009, we establish a Chinese house prices constitution model based on Analytic Hierarchy Process. The model is including five elements, namely, land acquisition costs, construction costs, the state's tax policy, developers expected profits and cost of sales, which does not consider regional differences. Because China has a vast territory, the regional economic development is uneven and housing prices are quite different, we select the typical city to modify the model based on different types of urban land cost impact on house prices. Meanwhile,we analyze the affect of the five elements to house prices changes. Further,we taking into the influence of land to the house prices of different types of urban, and the justifiability of land prices are analyzed and evaluated quantitatively. According to the calculation results, analyzing the reasons of high house prices in China and some suggestions are given.

Abstract: In order to study failure mechanism of the transmission tower caused by longitudinal tensions under icing conditions, with the model of # 43 cup-tower in 500kV Warsaw I line accident segment as for example and the software of large general-purpose finite element analysis, respectively, this paper analyzed their failure characteristics under three conditions that is non-uniform ice-coating, asynchronous ice-shedding and excessive icing, obtaining weak locations. The results will provide reference for the designing work of this type towers in transmission line which is auto-ice designing, enhancement, enforcement, transformation and reconstruction.

Abstract: In order to improve the overall image of Lotus Pond Park to the visitors and perfect its service facilities and infrastructure, this paper analyzes the degree of satisfaction toward different aspects of this park from the perspective of the visitors based on the method of IPA so as to enhance the visitors satisfaction and its competitiveness in the market. Through deep research on the features of visitor sources of Lotus Pond Park and analysis of visitors satisfaction, this paper also reflects the strength and weakness in the long-term development under its current conditions in different aspects, and points out the key problems and corresponding countermeasures in its development.

Abstract: Buried mudstones general have undercompacted phenomenon. Undercompacted mudstones have the characteristics that the porosity and pore fluid pressure are abnormal bigger. In order to disclosure the seepage mechanics mechanism of undercompacted mudstones formation, this paper has summed up the seepage mechanics relationship when fluid flows through the mudstone, and has verified the relationships between the key physical quantities with the minimal pressure (pressure that can let the fluid flow in the mudstone) by the experiments in physics. This paper has also analysis the formations process of undercompacted mudstone. The result shows that, the flow regime of fluid in the mudstone is the low speed seepage, and it is not applicable by Darcy equation; the fluid what flow through the thick and heavy compacted mudstone has the big minimal pressure. At the beginning or during the deposit, the rule of fluid flow in the mudstone decides that the fluid inside of the mudstone is more difficult to flow out than the fluid surface of the mudstone, and the inside mudstone becomes undercompacted. Because of the undercompacted mudstone is more important for the exploration of oil and gas, it has theoretic and practical sense to analysis the formations mechanism of the undercompacted mudstone.
