Research of In Situ Grafted Carbon Black

Article Preview

Abstract:

The method of liquid phase oxidation was adopted to prepare grafted carbon black (GCB). The structures of GCB were investigated with FT-IR. The particle size and polydispersity of GCB were researched by nanoparticle size analyzer. The dispersion stability of GCB was determined by the visible light spectrophotometer. The results showed that the graft modification was an effective method for improving the dispersion stability of carbon black (CB) in both polar and non-polar solution.
