Abstract: A low-cycle fatigue damage model for stiffened plates has been derived based on the theory of damage mechanics. The fatigue damage variable equation of the stiffened plate under cyclic loading was introduced into the accumulative plastic strain equation. Then by means of integral transformation, the evolution equation of axial plastic strain was derived under low cyclic loading condition. The analysis results by the presented model compare well with those by the finite element method.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to study the ultimate strength of a thin-wall box beam under cyclic bending loads. The nonlinear numerical simulations have been performed on the cyclic behaviors of a thin-walled box beam to investigate the ultimate strength and accumulative plastic deflection effect. Four cyclic loading cases are analyzed in the numerical simulations for the Fukumoto B-60-1 box beam model. The results of the simulations by the paper are discussed and they shall provide some valuable information to further study on the problem.

Abstract: sealing rings used in aircraft engine are surrounded by high-temperature gas and cyclic loading when they are working. The reliability of its work directly affect flight safety and engines life. This paper framed some kind of W pattern sealing rings finite element models with different sectional structure size, first analyze them strength of structure in specific conditions, then simulate the fatigue life of them by using analysis methods of fatigue and parameters of fatigue test, finally we can get damage contours and fatigue life in high temperature of W pattern sealing rings theoretically, providing some theoretical reference of designing and manufacturing sealing rings.

Abstract: Industrial robots with advantages of highly flexible, high positioning accuracy, high-efficient production, continuous operation capability in the harsh environment, can effectively replace all kinds of complex operations and high-intensity labor which cant be completed by the existing manual operation. The structural characteristic and use of the catenary abrator is described in this paper. Based on the current production status, catenary shot blasting machine workpiece handling methods are elaborated. This paper describes the use of the robot which can work quickly and efficiently loading and unloading.

Abstract: In order to integrate the process structure with the product structure in product development (PD) projects, this paper proposes a quantitative model for measuring the dependency strength between activities based on the dependency relationship in the product Design Structure Matrix (DSM). Utilizing the quantitative model and the Multi-Domain Matrix (MDM) between process and product domain, the corresponding process DSM is obtained. Furthermore, this paper presents a sequencing optimization method for the process DSM based on rework probability DSM matrix and rework impact DSM matrix and a clustering method for the product DSM. An example is provided to illustrate the utility of the models. The optimization results yield several managerial insights, including: optimize product components and activities simultaneously, how product structure impact on PD process structure and its schedule.

Abstract: In order to improve the load-carrying properties of pressure structure, a new method to improve the external bearing limit is put forward and residual stress is used. Based on finite element analysis, finite element models of cylinder pressure structure of submersible vehicle are established to produce hoop residual stress in the process of outward expansion. According to a lot of data of simulation experiments, the result indicates that hoop residual stress is compressive on the outer surface of the pipe and the hoop stress keeps tensile on the inside surface. This kind of stress distribution is helpful to the cylinder structure and can improve its bearing capacity of external pressure. Moreover, the rules of the residual stress are got. The influences of physical dimension, yield strength of material and the expansion rate to the stress distribution are analyzed. The measures to produce the stress distribution are also presented.

Abstract: In this paper, we use the finite element analysis software ANSYS to built a three dimension solid model of the piston in natural gas engine and make the digital simulation of the piston’s temperature field. By the actual measurement of indicator diagram, we calculate working process in the cylinder and heat transfer boundary condition of the piston and simulate it’s temperature field. Compared with the actual measurement of temperature distribution, we find that the research results provide theoretical basis to improve heating conditions of the piston, and will be significant to computer-aided calculation of the piston simultaneously. Analysis results show that the simulated results consistent with the actual situation. So the FEM (finite-element method) can actually reflect the temperature distribution of piston.

Abstract: In this paper, a simulation driven design approach was employed for the design process of the structural components of the one-cylinder vertical Engine. Finite element analysis (FEA) of the one-cylinder vertical engine assembly has been completed for assembly and maximum pressure loads using FEA software.
