Research on Exploitation Technology of Snow Disaster Forecast Warning System on Roads

Article Preview

Abstract:

Through using the technology of laser ranging and establishing the stations which can monitor snow depth automatically, a real-time, continuous and automatic monitoring for the status of snow-covered roads was achieved. In this paper, forecast warning system was constructed. Firstly, the data of snow depth was transmitted to database using GPRS technology. Then the snow disaster was evaluated quantitatively according to the existing criteria, and the evaluation results were stored back to the database. Finally, the evaluation results about snow disaster were published through the publishing platform. The results indicated that the forecast warning system was stable and fast, which could estimate the road snow disaster levels accurately.
