Abstract: This paper presents an offset-cancellation and low power cascaded comparator with new technique for flash Analog-to-Digital Converters. The improved structure cancels both input and output offset voltage by the feedback from outputs to common inputs. The total current consumption is reduced sharply for a clock circle with 1:2 dutyratio. The improved comparator is implemented in 0.35μm CMOS process. The Spectre simulation results show that the offset voltage of the improved structure is 3.14996mV with σ = 2.0347mV,and total current consumption is 17.59μA, while the offset voltage and total current consumption of the primary one is -5.649mV with σ = 14.254mV and 57.18μA respectively.

Abstract: In this paper, a variable-focus ultrasonic liquid lens controlled by the external voltage is demonstrated. That is, the liquid lens can be reshaped with the external voltage, which will cause the focal length to change. The relationship between liquid lens’ shape and the control voltage was obtained. The influence factors of the response time were researched. And the distribution of the ultrasonic field after the lens under different external control voltages was simulated.

Abstract: The actual in industry strip packing problem which is NP-hard in strong sense is considered in paper. To the strip packing problem comes down solution of a large number of different practical problems, including problems in logistics, scheduling and planning. The new heuristics intended to pack a given set of rectangular two-dimensional objects in order to minimize of the total length of the filled part of container with an infinity length and fixed width are offered. The proposed multimethod genetic algorithm is investigated on well-known standard benchmarks of two-dimensional strip packing problems.

Abstract: A topic discovery approach of the image has been proposed. First, the training images are segmented into some blocks. After clustering blocks, we obtained class set generated by cluster centers, and extracted all nouns from text annotation of each training image to obtain a keyword set. Secondly, the un-label testing image is also segmented into some blocks as same as training images, we calculated the correlation between the block and keyword, and the keyword set for each block may be obtained. Finally, the number of the same keyword appearing in the each block is calculated, we let the keywords with maximum to appear times be as the topics of the image. The experimental results confirm that proposed approach for the image is effectiveness and has good performance.

Abstract: The actual NP-completed orthogonal bin packing problem is considered in the article. In practice a solution of a large number of different practical problems, including problems in logistics and scheduling comes down to the bin packing problem. A decision of an any packing problem is represented as a placement string which contains a sequence of objects selected to pack. The article proposes a new multilevel linked data structure that improves the effectiveness of decoding of the placement string and as a consequence, increases the speed of packing generation. The new data structure is applicable for all multidimensional orthogonal bin packing problems.

Abstract: Classification maximum likelihood (CML) procedure is a maximum likelihood mixture approach to clustering. In 1993, Yang first extended the CML to a so-called fuzzy CML (FCML), by combining fuzzy c-partitions with the CML function for a normal mixture model. However, normal distribution is not robust for outliers. In this paper we consider FCML with t-distributions and create a clustering algorithm, called FCMLT. Numerical examples and real data applications with comparisons are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

Abstract: A dynamic Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly system along with the most complete form of setup time in this assembly is introduced in this paper. An effective Branch-and-Price mechanism is employed to develop a lower bound for the three-machine problem. However, solving the sub problems remains computationally difficult because of their NP-hard nature. An optimal approach is established, which makes solving the sub problems computationally feasible.

Abstract: The effective method for Bayesian unconditional Cramer-Rao bound on condition that the unknown state-vector of a dynamical system is constant has proposed. The recurrence formula for calculating the Fisher information matrix is deduced. Our formula doesn’t follow from the well-known recurrence relations for the general case, where the state-vector varies, and has some advantages compared to them. The effectiveness of the proposed recursive method has been illustrated by applying to Вearing-only tracking.

Abstract: In this work, we describe the radial basis functions for solving the time fractional partial differential equations defined by Caputo sense. These problems can be discretized in the time direction based on finite difference scheme and is continuously approximated by using the radial basis functions in the space direction which achieves the semi-discrete solution. Numerical results accuracy the efficiency of the presented method.

Abstract: In this paper, we have used the Scale Logarithm Change Series (SLS) method to reduce the boundary value problem in an infinite time domain to the initial value problem. In this method, we transformed time scale to logarithmic scale by using power series method for each governing point. These points are for each unknown functions and then equate with the corresponding coefficients. This paper demonstrates how the Scale Logarithm Change Series (SLS) method allows to obtain heteroclinic and monoclinic orbits in Chen system. The simulation results obtianed gives the reliability of newly developed algorithm which is extended to prolonged application of Chen system.
