Abstract: Central aortic pressure (CAP) is pathophysiologically more relevant than peripheral pressures for the evaluation of cardiovascular disease. However, the invasive measurement of CAP is restricted in the clinical. In this study, we proposed a new technique to reconstruct CAP using dual-channel peripheral pressure signal based on blind identification. First, we establish a single input multi-output (SIMO) physics-based model, the common model input then can be estimated directly using input subspace (LS) method. In order to demonstrate the feasibility of this technique, we use two interventional surgery patients conducting human trials, in which non-invasive radial and finger blood pressure (BP) waveform as well as reference invasive CAP are recorded simultaneously. The estimated CAP is very closer in morphology to its measured (selected 30s segments, the root mean square errors is 2.02mmHg). In conclusion, noting that dual-peripheral pressure measurements are all non-invasive, it is conducive to the clinical promotion and application.

Abstract: Aiming at the disadvantages of current error measuring instruments of ball screw helix, a new screw helical line error measuring device is developed, moreover, a new method called electronic generative metrology (EGM) is introduced. The problem of measuring head deformation has been settled down because of installation of two driving motors on the instrument, so it is easy to achieve dynamic high precision measurement. Taking the long grating and circular grating as length and angle measurement datum respectively, the torque motor and linear motor are able to form position close-loop control. The measuring head frame is installed on air flotation slider which has characters of high kinematic accuracy and stability, so it guarantees high measurement accuracy. Then, the measurement accuracy analysis of the device is given. And the last, the EGM is developed by using this new research tool. Related experimental studies are conducted to verify the feasibility of the new method.

Abstract: According to restrictions existing in the application of single license plate location algorithm in complicated background. A license plate location algorithm based on mathematical morphology and color characteristics is proposed. Firstly, the new method uses Ostu algorithm to select an optimal threshold, and according to the threshold carries on binary processing, then by using a new method of mathematical morphology for image edge detection. Finally combined mathematical morphology with color characteristic to locate license plate .Experiments show that this new method with higher accuracy and fewer restrictions on background is superior to traditional or a single method and can be widely used.

Abstract: This paper designs an automatic contour detection system of open arc welding workpiece. The realization of the device is the first step to achieve automatic control system of welding processes. Firstly it summarizes the difficulties must be solved in the design of detection system. According to the requirements, an electromechanical system is designed. The performance has been analyzed by simulation .An experiment has been done to verify the prototype. The results show the design meets the requirements.

Abstract: A typical safety monitoring system architecture with basic functions including data collection, parameter setting, data processing and backup, warning judgment and processing is proposed based on analysis of potential safety hazards. With the theories such as T-S model, domain processing and fuzzy control, a fuzzy control model based on multi-sensor data fusion is established, and a safety monitoring system software is developed. Test result shows that the software supports both analog and real-time data, and can perform real-time monitoring of safety parameters like temperature and smoke with satisfactory online hazard warning performance, thus able to be applied in environmental safety monitoring.

Abstract: An intelligent monitoring and control system for highway daily maintenance is described in this paper. To manage maintenance machinery and operators more effectively, geographical information system (GIS), global positioning system (GPS), and wireless communication technologies are applied to the system which consists of three subsystems, detection and maintenance sequence planning system, detection and maintenance monitoring system, and PDA execution system. Maintenance machinery sequence planning system generates routes and schedules for maintenance machinery using GIS and optimization techniques. Maintenance machinery monitoring system monitors current positions of machinery and actual maintenance results as compared with planned sequences, routes and visit times, while PDA execution system transmits information for machinery positions and actual maintenance results using GPS and wireless communication technologies. The intelligent monitoring and control system can promote operation efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

Abstract: In practical applications of Beer-Lambert’s law, the measurements are often affected by temperature and air pressure, according to which, this paper is intended to design a test chamber of which the temperature and air pressure are adjustable in order to provide the necessary environmental conditions for the detection of non-dispersive infrared gas. The analog signals of temperature and air pressure will be converted into digital signals by A/D converter after having been detected by the sensor, then the digital signals will be transmitted back to the MCU. After comparing with the preset values, the digital signals begin to control the MCU of temperature and air pressure and are finally displayed on the LCD screen. After the test, the expected goal can be achieved through this. The temperature can be ranged from 5 to 50°C and pressure 80 to 120Kpa, basically can meet the requirements of the study of non-dispersive IR gas detection.

Abstract: Locally linear embedding is an efficient manifold learning approach. A modified locally linear embedding algorithm is proposed to cope with the interferences of affine transformations in handwritten digit recognition. In order to offset all kinds of affine transformations, the Euclidean distance is replaced by the tangent distance which is more appropriate for handwritten digit recognition based on image. And the number of neighborhood is computed automatically based on the similarity of images. Experimental results show that the accuracy rate of is improved.

Abstract: Pulse coding/frequency modulation (PCM/FM) system is a rocket system mainly adopts remote sensing system, and MSD (Multi - Symbol Detection) is to overcome the traditional demodulation methods threshold effect.
