Abstract: ETextbook has changed the practice of classroom teaching and learning and made the virtual classroom and reality classroom together. This study aims to explore educational affordances on eTextbooks within iPads. To address this research goal, this case study reports findings from a four-week pilot study of using eTextbooks with 6 teachers and 144 students in one primary school in Beijing. The results show that five educational affordances of eTextbooks, including individuality learning materials, annotations and note-taking, multi-dimensional representation of knowledge, multi-touch and various interaction, and control the progress of multi-media materials presentation. These educational affordances of eTextbook have implications for current and future developments in the pattern of teaching and learning in classroom.

Abstract: A scheme of controlling data on a training system of cockpit instruments is presented to meet the need of education and teaching for colleges. A training system of cockpit instruments is established based on this scheme. The system consists of three parts: dashboard, aircraft instruments and operate-controlling subsystem. It has been completed. The advantages such as high reliability, easily operating and low cost make this system have a broad market prospect.

Abstract: iPads and their applications (also known as “Apps”) have become popular worldwide with a broad range of users since it released in 2010. Despite its wide use in research and practice, there is little empirical research that addresses what educational value iPad provided for both teachers and students in the classroom. This study aims to explore the potential advantages of iPad for classroom teaching and learning. To address this research goal, this case study reports findings from a four-week pilot study of using iPad with 6 teachers and 144 students in one primary school in Beijing. The results show that six advantages of using iPad facilitating teaching and learning, including rich applications for education, immediate interaction and feedback, capturing learning activities process, Information search and collection, collaborative creating products and wireless display. The findings contribute to the research concerning the advantages of using mobile learning devices for facilitating students’ active learning in the classroom.

Abstract: —According to the foreign and domestic experiences about the design work and the practical application effects of the simulation model components’ framework, it’s obviously concluded that this design pattern of the components framework has broad development prospects in the future. The components are some independent software units with specified functions. This paper presents some useful analysis and research work on the design of the simulation model framework based on component technology.

Abstract: The tool management is an important part in FMS (the flexible manufacturing system), especially for single or small batch processing operation plan. The scientific rationality of the tool management determines the manufacturing system reliability and production efficiency. To establish a set of tool management system based on Web, make the tool entity information of manufacturing execution system to be digitized, and realize the information sharing in the different processing unit or between enterprise alliances through the Internet, will greatly improve the production efficiency and reduce the production cost.

Abstract: Learning team has become an important foundation for collaborative work. In a team, according to the knowledge of members and task requirements, how to recommend learning resources to the appropriate team member is a key factor of success. This paper firstly reviewed related methods and concepts in knowledge management and recommendation. Then, it constructed different models for task, knowledge, team member and learning resource. The two strategies of resources recommendation were proposed. One was based on similarity measurement and another is based on knowledge background and experience of team members. Based on the two strategies, learning resources were recommended to team members. Finally, the prototype system was built for practical validation.
