Abstract: Current situation of topical costal villages and towns in Li River scenic spot is detailedly investigated and monitored for the sake of obtaining representative and regional basic data which can symbolize the pollution source of domestic sewage in these areas. It can provide reliable basis to treat sewage and formulate schemes for water environment protection in Li River scenic spot through fanning out from point to area and comparative analysis of its data.

Abstract: This study was conducted using the data collected at the Anping Harbor, Taiwan to investigate and analyze mercury (Hg) contained in the sediments, and to evaluate the accumulation of Hg and the degree of its potential risk. The results show that samples collected at ten monitoring points contain 0.16–0.69 mg/kg of Hg with an average of 0.27±0.16 mg/kg. The spatial distribution of Hg reveals that the Hg concentration is relatively high in the Bamboo River mouth region, and gradually diminishes toward the harbor region. This indicates that upstream industrial and municipal wastewater discharges along the river bank are major sources of pollution. Results from the enrichment factor and geo-accumulation index analyses imply that the Bamboo River mouth sediments can be characterized as severe enrichment and moderate to strong accumulation of Hg, respectively. Results of potential ecological risk index indicate that the sediment has higher to serious ecological potential risk. The results can provide valuable information to developing future strategies for the management of river mouth and harbor.

Abstract: This paper presents self-sufficiency design for a photovoltaic/thermal assisted heat pump water heating (PVTA/HPWH) system by model-based prediction control methodology. Considering the effect of weather conditions on PVT characteristics, the reciprocal energy exchange of PVT evaporator and HPWH system could be well described by the proposed PVTA/HPWH model with better precision. Having the accurate model building, the power consumption of HPWH is self-sufficiently provided by PV electricity using a model-based prediction control methodology. Performance is evaluated through experimental measurement with a test rig of integrated PVTA/HPWH system of rated power 1 kWp under real climate conditions. The dynamic behaviors and performance analysis of the PVTA/HPWH system are conducted by theoretical and experimental analysis. The results have demonstrated the power autarky of the proposed PVTA/HPWH system with better performance.

Abstract: A wall hanging air-conditioning office was simulated on three different air supply angle and three different air supply velocity by the AIRPAK .Based on the velocity fields, temperature fields, PMV-PPD obtained, analysis indoor thermal comfort. The result shows obvious difference of air distribution and great effect of indoor thermal under different air supply angle and different air supply velocity. By comprehensive comparison, the best air supply condition is the one of 75° downward, 3.0m/s.

Abstract: The plankton communities (phytoplankton and zooplankton) and physicochemical properties in seawater were monitored between January to December 2008 at nine coastal mariculture and local fisheries piers in Phang Nga Province, Thailand, to assess water quality rehabilitation following the Tsunami disaster of 2004. All physical and chemical values fell within the ranges that are considered normal for unpolluted water: temperature ranged from 29.84 (± 0.47) - 31.29 (± 0.27) °C; transparency ranged from 49 (± 7) - 108 (± 7) cm; total dissolved solids ranged from 17,060 (± 162) - 26,240 (± 68) mg/l; electrical conductivity ranged from 34.12 (± 3.48) - 52.48 (± 1.62) mS/cm; pH ranged from 6.69 (± 0.13) - 7.94 (± 0.07); salinity ranged from 19.48 (± 1.78) - 30.28 (± 0.44) ppt.; dissolved oxygen ranged from 6.36 (± 0.35) - 7.49 (± 0.35); biochemical oxygen demand ranged from 2.04 (± 0.25) - 3.80 (± 0.20) mg/l; and chemical oxygen demand ranged from 34.0 (± 0.95) - 63.3 (± 0.84) mg/l. Phytoplanktons were recorded to Euglenophyta, Chlorophyta, Chrysophyta, Cyanophyta and Pyrrhophyta. Zooplanktons were determined to six Phyla i.e. Chordata, Annelida, Arthropoda, Rotifera, Mollusca and Protozoa.

Abstract: Based on the evaluation index system of GESAMP and evaluation procedure about mixture mentioned in the Circ.512, the pollution and hazard evaluation model of oil products were established. According to the evaluation results, it can be found that the evaluation model established here is effective. The evaluation model can be used to quantitatively demarcate the pollution and hazard of oil products, which can provide theoretical support for shipping supervision of oil products.

Abstract: This paper estimates the impacts of Beijing Subway on energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The ASIF methodology is developed to estimate the emissions based upon passenger travel behaviors in Beijing, which is notably different from popular existing approaches that calculate emissions from vehicular population. This methodology enables policy analysts to quantify how different subway development strategies and patterns would affect about CO2 emissions.

Abstract: This paper introduced the function of the Pumped-Storage Power Station in power grid and the significance of reliability evaluation. Based on the principle of the GO method, the main electrical wiring’s reliability of the pumped-storage power station is proposed for the first time. According to the original data in references, the GO chart is established and the reliability is calculated and analyzed and evaluation indexes are put forward. The results show that the method is feasible. Finally it expounds the existing problems and shortcomings.

Abstract: In order to solve the contradiction of building heat pump characteristic curve of demand and supply of heat pump, put forward by changing concentration of mixture refrigerant capacity regulation to increase heat production purposes. The capacity control is analyzed, and verified by theoretical calculation and experiment. The results show that, the heat pump system can be obtained by changing concentration of mixture refrigerant to achieve the purpose of regulating capacity.
