Abstract: A method is put forward to overcome the disadvantages of traditional transit priority control which lack the information of residence time on bus station to achieve the better target of transit priority. Under the background that the SCM and RFID have been wildly used, and it has been a trend for intelligent traffic system to combine these two technologies organically. We establish a new combined forecasting model to predict the bus dwell time on bus station by collecting the bus station information, analyzing the time series features of bus dwell time and studying the mechanism of ES and RBF models. According to the prediction the signal is adjusted correspondingly. Thus we achieve the goal of enhancing traffic efficiency and simultaneously decrease the negative effect to the social vehicles.

Abstract: In order to analyze the evacuation behaviors and optimize evacuation strategies for rail transit system, an evacuation agent centered simulation model was proposed. Firstly, by considering the attributes, status and decision-making behaviors of evacuation personnel, the evacuation agent model was established, and the running principle as well as construction process of multi-agent simulation model was discussed. Then, the specific definition and design for the agent attributes and evacuation behavior protocol were provided. Finally, based on the simulation model proposed, an evacuation simulation platform for the military museum station of Beijing subway line 9 was established by using REPAST and JAVA, several evacuation strategies were tested and optimized.

Abstract: This paper proposed a bi-level programming model to optimize the locations and capacity for rail-based park-and-ride sites to promote transit patronage. A multinomial logit model was incorporated in a mode split/traffic assignment model to assess any given park-and-ride scheme. This model was then taken as the lower level model, and the upper level programming model is established to optimize the location and capacity of park-and-ride with the goal of promoting transit patronage. A heuristic tabu search algorithm is then adopted to solve this model.

Abstract: On the grassland highway, the driver is prone to muscle fatigue because of the particularity of its landscape and the linear structure. And vehicle operating system leads to different degree of muscle fatigue. In order to explore the pilot fatigue characteristics in grassland under different operation conversion highway, put forward the fatigue improve measures and improving the quality of driving, I use the real driving test. In this paper, we study the manual and automatic driver’s shoulder muscle fatigue with method of frequency domain analysis through testing the driver, obtaining MF of trapezius muscle in static measurement and the surface electronical signal of the trapezius muscle after 110 minutes’ driving. We devide the drivers into 2 groups (5 drivers in manual group, 5 drivers in automatic group). The results show that the automatic driver’s MF has significantly negative correlation (P =- 0.521) before and after the static test, which suggests automatic driver will be afflicted with shoulder muscle fatigue; The manual drive’s MF before and after the test tends to decrease with time (SlopeMS =- 0.0076, SlopeMD =- 0.0582), which suggests that after test, drivers in manual group are in the right shoulder fatigue, and before test, the decline of MF shows the drivers’ fatigue accumulation. After test, MF of manual and automatic group increases (SlopeAD =- 0.01, SlopeMD =- 0.058), which shows that driving on grassland highway can lead to the driver’s muscle fatigue with the extension of time; and vehicle operating system leads to different degree of muscle fatigue.

Abstract: For hazardous materials transportation network, we investigate toll setting as a policy tool to regulate the use of roads for shipments. We propose a bi-level programming as well as the corresponding actual description for the hazardous materials toll problem. Considering the interaction between ordinary vehicles (OV) and hazardous materials vehicles (HMV), the model describes the actual scene accurately, taking account of fairness for ordinary vehicles. Using a numerical example, the comparative analysis of risk and cost shows that toll policies can be very effective.

Abstract: The paper addresses a park and ride network design problem in a bi-model transport network in a multi-objective decision making framework. A goal programming approach is adopted to solve the multi-objective park and ride network design problem. The goal programming approach considers the user-defined goals and priority structure, which are (i) traffic-efficient goal, (ii) total transit usage goal, (iii) spatial equity goal. This problem is formulated as a bi-level programming model. The upper level programming leads to minimize the deviation from stated goals in the context of a given priority ranking. While the lower level programming model is a modal split/traffic assignment model which is used to assess any given park and ride scheme. A heuristic tabu search algorithm is then adopted to solve this model.

Abstract: Combined with grey model and the characteristics of the Markov chain, based on the grey prediction model, calculating the state transition probability, grey Markov chain model is established. The results show that the grey Markov chain model has higher prediction accuracy than GM (1, 1) model, can offer references for passenger flow organization.

Abstract: Remote vehicle steering assist is quite necessary for reducing traffic accidents when the driver is in risky driving states such as fatigue, drunk and so on. Communication such as internet, GPS and GSM is usually applied in this kind of remote control process. During network transmission, data packets were inevitably lost more or less, which has negative influence on the remote steering operation. In order to solve this problem, model of some remote steering system was built so as to analyze the steering quality. A packet dropout compensator was designed and applied from the aspect of predictive compensate control using hybrid pi-sigmoid fuzzy neural network. Simulation results showed that the compensator worked effectively to reduce the bad influence of packet dropout during remote vehicle steering procedure.

Abstract: LPG are potentially harmful to people and environment due to their toxic ingredients, especially in the course of load-and-unload. In this work, based on the fault tree and Gaussian plume model, we develop a risk assessment model for the railway transportation of LPG in the course of load-and-unload. This model can take into consideration the features may lead to explosion accident and their impact. At the same time, when the leakage of LPG leads to explosion accident, the model can determine the longest distance in the harmful explosion and the harmful explosion area quantitatively. With application of the case, a risk assessment model for the LPG in the course of loading and unloading is presented.

Abstract: Ship sailing resistance is an important index of cross section size optimization of restricted channel. Through real ship experiment with one typical ship in inland restricted III channel, the relationship between ship sailing resistance and factors such as water depth to draft ratio, discharge section area and so on is studied. And modified calculation formula of ship sailing resistance is put forward. The results show that as water depth to draft ratio decreases, or discharge section area becomes smaller, ship sailing resistance will increase significantly. By introducing two parameters: section blockage ratio and water depth to draft ratio, the Эиванков formula of ship sailing resistance calculation is modified, and the calculation accuracy which the modified formula applied in restricted channel has greatly improved.
