Abstract: With the rapid development of urbanization in China and the motorization’s fast pace of high speed as well as the national automobile industry process, many cities in our country have been facing a huge problem - traffic congestion in recent years. And the essence of the problem is the imbalance between road traffic supply and traffic demand in the process of urban development. Aimed at the problem of traffic congestion, this paper based on Hangzhou city’s traffic congestion index of monitoring data from testing platform and statistical data from field survey , studied the Hangzhou east area of road traffic running situation, analyzed the causes of the east area of Hangzhou road congestion, and thus to adjust and optimize the road traffic system of the area, put forward reasonable system solutions and proposals to improve the management level

Abstract: Urban signalized intersections travel delay is an important part of the total traffic delays. To improve the traffic capacity of intersection is of great significance to solve the urban traffic problems. Combining with Hohhot Shi Yang Street Bridge Road and Five Tower Temple East Street intersection, this article had a detailed analysis of the intersection delay. We used the HCM2000 delay calculation model and microscopic traffic simulation software VISSIM to analyze the intersection delay. This is very useful for traffic management and controlling.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the vehicle blocked process of urban signal control intersections and the survey methods of intersection delay. The license plate method and the point sample method have been selected as investigation method of signal control intersections in many ways. The delay time of Youyi avenue road and Minzu east road intersection in Baotou was analyzed and calculated by survey data. The data indicates the calculation results of two survey method are consistent with the actual experience of driver.

Abstract: From what has been discussed above, the design of parallel virtual queuing, means that the passenger chooses the trains, the time, departures and terminals, seat types on TVM by blackening a ticket purchasing card. All the job off the TVM can be done by all the passengers all at once, which is equal to every passenger is being served at the counter (TVM), and thus the queuing time are greatly reduced in peak hours. Therefore, the queuing is equal to “Parallel Virtual Queuing”, and the equivalent queuing model is M/M/∞/∞/∞/FCFS.

Abstract: To raise the forecast precision of railway freight ton-kilometers, the unbiased GM (1, 1) power model was applied to predict the development trend. The Markov chain method was used to process the random fluctuations and correct the forecast values. Thus the optimized UBGPM-Markov model was established. The example analysis shows that the unbiased GM (1, 1) power model is superior to the GM (1, 1) model in both scope of application and prediction accuracy. Furthermore, the UBGPM-Markov model has reduced the mean absolute prediction error (MAPE) from 1.72% to 0.70%.

Abstract: The competitive environment of the global air transport industry are challenging in this era. The relative efficiency of airports has been one of the important topics in this industry. This paper has investigated a review of the literature on the efficiency of global airport to obtain input and output variables along with queries to experts. This paper proposes a method that integrates Data envelopment analysis (DEA) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the efficiency in Decision Making Units (DMUs). DEA is used to measure the efficiency by employing linear programming to generate efficiency weights to the symmetric metric. Meanwhile AHP can be used to calculate the weight and rank efficiency of DMUs. The main objective of this study proposes a DEA model is to examine the relative efficiency of Main Airports in Thailand. This information can be used to help stakeholders understand the problem and opportunities of airport operation.

Abstract: Timetable coordination is very complex because of the number of alternative transfer directions involved in subway networks and lack of optimization principles. In this paper, transfer binary variable (TBV) that influence transferring are taken into considered in the model. By adjusting the dispatch time, dwell time at stations, the model can construct a high-quality timetable that improves the passenger transfer effectiveness. The numerical experiments show that our model improves TBV to 10 directions of 11 total transfer directions.

Abstract: The operation and management of urban mass transit network put forward higher requirements for last trains‘ transfer connection. Based on the analysis of coordination relationship and timeliness of accessible routes, this paper puts forward a dynamic passenger volume distribution method according to the generalized travel cost. Then the connection optimization model of last train departure time is built to increase accessible passenger volume and reduce passengers’ transfer waiting time of all OD pairs for last trains. Finally, the validity and rationality of this model and algorithm is verified with numerical analysis.

Abstract: By installation of GC-02 Bluetooth module,inter-provincial express train TVM is relatively mature at present, so that passengers can, in accordance with the agreement, choose the available time, trains, departures and terminals and seats with their own Bluetooth-enabled phone. Hence, it will greatly reduce the time on the vending machine. In peak hours, passengers will experience “parallel virtual queuing”,and benefit from the less queuing time and fast tickets buying.

Abstract: An urban intersection group consists of a set of intersections which are geographically adjacent and strongly correlated with each other [1]. It is the minimal network for traffic control and coordination control. In this paper, based on the dynamic partitioning results of the intersection group provided by the software and data collected by traffic flow detectors, the features of dynamic partitioning software for intersection group are further explored from two aspects: traffic control and emergency response to traffic accidents, using the method of green-wave control and traffic guidance respectively.
