Abstract: The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method presented in this paper is used to analyze three representative exterior wall assemblies from the perspective of manufacturers, designers, and consumers. Considering technical, economic, social, and environmental factors, a model and subsequent indicators were developed for qualitative and quantitative analyses. The approach discussed in this paper originated as a response to recent building code changes in China, and the need for value-engineers to better understand a set of newly developed wall construction assemblies in a way that minimizes subjective errors in the value-engineering evaluation process.

Abstract: Generally, there is a high background noise and long reverberation time and poor speech intelligibility in exhibition space due to its big crowd and often commercial promotional activities so that communication is very hard, commercial activities broadcasting system is also difficult to ensure that customers can clearly hear the propaganda content. In this paper, through measured background noise of the new exhibition center in Chengdu, we found the acoustic problem in exhibition space, then we did simulation analysis in some exhibition building and took some acoustical process to get a good sound field.

Abstract: Health monitoring of civil engineering has been widely required in construction, operation and service-life prediction. FBG sensors, a kind of the most efficient sensing elements, for the superior advantages of small size, high sensitivity, long-term stability and durability, good geometrical shape-versatility, corrosion resistance and anti-electromagnetic interference, are highly applied in different engineering fields. Measurement precision of this sensor is paid attention and strain transfer analysis is developed to give an explanation on the testing mechanism and provide the quantitative strain transfer error modification functions. Theoretical derivation on strain transfer analysis of sensors with debonding interface is executed and related functions have been offered to eliminate the strain transfer error. Research in this article is meaningful for improving the precision of FBG sensors with debonding interface, which is helpful for much long-term detection of structures.

Abstract: Based on the idea of sustainable development, this paper thinks that the modular architecture is a combination of architectural thinking and architectural technology with distinct characteristics of times, which can make the current green building steadily advance on the road to industrialization. This paper also describes in detail about the current situation of the development of modular architecture in China from the two aspects of the enormous social, economic benefit and the development advantage position Combined with the examples, this paper further demonstrates the importance of modular construction in our country in the field of architectural industrialization under the idea of sustainable development.

Abstract: With the increasing expansion of the function of modern architecture, the huge construction equipment system’s daily management and maintenance are faced with the problem of high input and high consumption. It is an inevitable trend of modern architecture’s developing that we expand the maintenance management system. In this paper, we set up a management system of prevention and maintenance for construction equipment which include the basic framework, process and functional modules, which could achieve the prevention, maintenance and management on the basis of the device’s fault then greatly improve the level of equipment’s maintenance and management. Construction equipment is a combination of the facilities and equipment which is installed in the buildings, provide convenience, comforts and safety for people’s residing, living, and working. It usually include water supply and drainage system, ventilation and air conditioning system, electrical lighting system, fire controlling and security system, heat addition system and elevator system, etc. It is an important part of civil construction, its role in building is equivalent of the circulatory system and nervous system of human’s body. The architecture’s function of modern society has gone way beyond the scope of wind and rain, the demand of comfort, health, convenience and safety makes the modern architecture marching towards the direction of intelligent zing and automation, then the system of construction equipment becomes larger and more complex. The daily maintenance and repairment of construction equipment turns into a job of high consumption and input in the modern construction’s management.

Abstract: An investigation study on built environment was carried out for ground shopping malls and underground shopping malls, in search of similarities and differences between them. Four representative shopping malls were investigated from 2012 to 2014 by means of testing and questionnaires. It analyzed the current situation of indoor thermal environment, light environment, acoustic environment as well as indoor air quality. The study found that no significant differences in indoor environmental parameters (including air temperature, relative humidity and air velocity) and people’s sensation vote to them, apart from draft sensation vote for the two types of shopping malls. Besides, both the average indoor illumination was far below the national standard especially for underground shopping malls. Moreover, Noise levels were basically the same and the satisfaction rate of acoustic environment of underground shopping malls was apparently inferior to that of ground shopping malls. Eventually, indoor air quality was not as undesirable as it was expected even measured in the two types. On the basis of studying, some practicable improvement measures were proposed.

Abstract: As a trend all over the world, the large building roof has been studied for a long time in many countries excluding China. Therefore, the paper attempts to provide practical technological guidance for tree planting on roofs in China by studying the case of Nanhaifanyin Square (with an area of 3.4 hectares) in Foshan , Guangdong Province. The tree planting on the roof of large-scale roof gardens is studied and discussed in this paper and relevant technological strategies are put forward in the last section. The paper will also illustrate the problems occurred in the process and relevant solutions will be summarized accordingly in view of the project of Nanhaifanyin Square. This case applying advanced roof greening techniques and fully embodies the planting process, as well as post-planting maintenance and management of trees. And most importantly, it provides reference techniques and methods for tree planting on large-scale roof gardens in terms of matrix, methods, planting procedure, maintenance and management.

Abstract: In order to statistically analyze building conditions of low carbon building in new countryside of Sichuan province, we conduct an investigation of construction application in new countryside of Nanbu County, especially energy saving along with energy utilization, water saving along with water resource utilization and material saving along with material resource utilization. According to the investigation, it is crucial to increase market share of clean energy like natural gas and solar energy as well as popularize biogas utilization or solar energy utilization by means of subsidizing farmers in the hope that firewood or coal will be significantly reduced. The survey also reveals that water supply in new countryside is mostly by pipeline or sometimes by well. While government is supposed to establish long-term mechanisms on how to effectively supervise sewage discharges and treat sewage in the new future. In terms of the circumstance where solid bricks is extensively used in new countryside, city planners and builders should optimize construction scheme, introduce advanced technology to improve construction environment fundamentally.

Abstract: The core technology of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a database formed by three-dimensional computer models; as a collection of all information, it is throughout the entire life cycle of the building. This article analyzed the collision detection and combined with a specific pipeline layout project, aiming to discuss the application of BIM technology.
