Abstract: With the development of economy, higher requirements for pipeline laying are raised. Among them, how to choose path for laying effectivelyand cheaply is the most important. Compared with ‘Dijkstra’, ‘Bellman-Ford’, ‘Floyd’ and ‘Dynamic planning model’, a new routing algorithm based on adjacent matrix is proposed and detailed processes and rules are designed. Additionally the effectiveness of the algorithm is proved through being applied to an example.

Abstract: Vibration parameter of water pump is studied by power flow theory, water pump isolation vibration system can be simplified a single-deck isolation system model, by using electric-machine (E-F) analog method, the curves of foundation speed amplitude and power flow are drawn, the results show that the inertia block has clearly reduced the vibration power flow and speed amplitude, increasing the mass of inertia block can decrease the first peak point and make the first peak point moving toward the low frequency direction, increasing surface density of the basement can decrease input power flow and the vibration of basement.

Abstract: Based on the improved weighted-least-square model and fuzzy similarity ratio method, a methodology is proposed to detect pipe bursts in real-time. When SCADA data is obtained DFP algorithm is used to get the real network state. Then the real values of burst characteristics are computed. And the hypothetical values assuming each pipe as the accident pipe are calculated for comparison. The fuzzy similarity ratio method is used to judge whether there is a pipe burst. If there is, the hypothetical value that is most similar to the real value is the accidental state and the corresponding assumed break is the burst location. According to the methodology a software system is developed with Delphi 7 for verification. The running results of a designed network show that the methodology is reliable and its detection accuracy is over 45%.

Abstract: The Management Information System (MIS) on pipe bursts was developed by Visual Basic 6.0 to handle the accident data in water distribution networks. The thought of modular design is adopted in system design and the whole system is divided into four modules, including user login, database connection, database operation and data enquiry & analysis. The MIS has the functions of data input, output, storage, enquiry, statistics and analysis, which are implemented by component technology, ADO and SQL. Based on the functions it can achieve day-to-day management of network accidents and supply guidance of treatment measures. So the MIS on pipe bursts is a useful tool in network management.

Abstract: Construction dust may lead to Silicosis, a disabling respiratory disease which severely threatens the life of construction workers. Therefore, it is important to predict and determine the safety area of dust generated by the construction process and the corresponding protective measures that must be adopted. In this paper, based on real site data, we modelled and simulated the pneumatic drill holes in rock drilling processes to analyze the dust distribution on construction sites. Our simulation results show that the dangerous distance from the pneumatic drill hole is 3.5m. Within the dangerous distance, the dust concentration ranged from 0.039 mg/m3to30mg/m3, and decreased as distance increases. Within the dangerous distance, dust alleviation technologies are strongly recommended and appropriate protective measures must be adopted by construction workers.

Abstract: This paper discusses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology and its potential applications in the asphalt pavement construction industry. RFID technology offers wireless communication between RFID tags and readers. These fundamental properties eliminate manual data entry and introduce the potential for automated processes to increase project productivity, construction safety, and project cost efficiency. Construction contractors, owners, and material suppliers that believe technology can further develop methods and processes in construction should feel obligated to participate in RFID studies for the advancement of the construction industry as a whole.

Abstract: Membrane separation technique is widely applied because of simple operation, high separation efficiency, and no induction of phase transformation, but it is restricted from some fields by the high pollution, low strength and small flux of polymeric membranes. Improving the performances is one major way to expand the applied fields of polymer membranes, and so far, it has been realized by introduction of inorganic hybrid nanoparticles into polymer membranes. Inorganic nanoparticles can modify the surface and structural properties and largely improve the hydrophilicity, contamination resistance and rejection performance of membranes, and thus expand the adaptability of polymer membranes. In this review, we summarized the advances in modification of polymer membranes with nanomaterials including nanoZnO, nanoAg, nanoTiO2, nanoSiO2 and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). The prospects in the future development are finally provided.

Abstract: Generated during the combustion of coal for electricity production, fly ash is a solid waste and causes great ecomomic burden and serious environmental pollution. On the other hand, it is a good resource for the preparation of industrial products. Especially, alumina rich fly ash from Inner-Mongolia Guohua Junggar Power Plant typically contains 45-55% alumina, 30-40% silica, and 5-10% other metallic oxides, it is a perfect resource for alumina extraction. In order to improve the utilization value of alumina rich fly ash and lessen environmental strain, a novel approach for alumina extraction from alumina rich fly ash was proposed. The proposed process includes a pre-desilication process, soda lime sintering process, dissolving process, carbonation process and calcination process. The technological conditions for alumina extraction from Junggar alumina rich fly ash were optimized by means of orthogonal experment design. The extraction rate of alumina was 96%. Value-added products, such as electrolytic grade alumina and white carbon black, were produced at the same time.

Abstract: We make specimens with different gradation types ,different fine aggregates , different molding methods, we calculate their air voids , we analyze the cause of increased porosity of mixture from different aspects. The results show that when we use the same aggregate and the same gradation, the air voids show small difference from the designing method of Gyratory Compactor and Marshall ; when we use the same molding methods and and gradations and different fine aggregates to form specimens, the void ratio of basalt fine material is larger, the the void ratio of limestone fine material is smaller; The main reason is the bulk density of basalt fine aggregate is larger, and it is not easy to compaction.

Abstract: According to the requirements promulgated by the state on the class of fire protection of the building insulation materials, the paper, on the basis of common external wall insulation system, introduces 3 kinds of new exterior insulation and finish systems , SJN combined self-thermal insulation wall insulation system, STP ultrathin vacuum insulation board exterior wall insulation system, composite exterior wall insulation system of polyurethane sandwich board, which are up to the national standard of A-class fire protection. The compositions, construction process, and features of above 3 kinds of new exterior insulation and finish systems are analyzed. The conclusions may provide theoretical guidance to the proper use of these 3 new external wall insulation systems in hot-summer and cold-winter area.
