Abstract: As an important index on evaluating intersection traffic efficiency, vehicle average delay played more and more roles on traffic prediction and evaluation modeling, this paper proposed an intersection signal warrant model using average delay which can evaluate traffic efficiency. According to compare the average delay of intersections before and after installing signal, average delay critical match model is established to show the warrant of signal setting. In this model, traffic volumes of major and minor approaches are main variables which are to argue whether the intersections need to be signalized, and several kinds of critical volume curves diagrams are given to show the warrant of different characteristics’ intersections.

Abstract: In the last few decades, metropolitan districts have played an increasingly importance role in process of urbanization. To support this trend, transport, as a fundamental and strategic industry sector, should promote the development of metropolitan districts. This paper studies transport practices in metropolitan district development from varied dimensions: transport concept, transport infrastructure, administrative organization, and transport service. Corresponding to these dimensions, the representative transport practices that are closely related to metropolitan districts are investigated, which include the concept of smart growth, the intense and complex transport corridor, the interregional plan organization, and the intermodal passenger transport. Finally, conclusions are drawn and further suggestions are suggested.

Abstract: This paper describes day-to-day model , and presents the capacity of the new link will affect the Braess’s paradox in dynamic process. When its capacity increases, the cost of the new link will decreases. When the system cost of the new network is larger than the old network , Braess’s paradox will occur .Finally ,numerical analysis shows that the capacity of the new link will affect the Braess’s paradox in day-to-day.

Abstract: Running time of trains in a station is evaluation indicator. The safety and uniqueness of the use of departure lines and passengers’ convenience were considered as principles in the process of organization of arrival-departure line at Jinan West Railway Station. Besides, some factors were taken into consider, such as, the type of a station , train graph , the arrangement of route ,and the time and process of train technology. Use “Office Visio ” to organize the scheme of lines at Jinan West Railway Station. Then running time of trains in a station was carried on the appraisal. Result as follows: Each train takes 4.8 min traveling in the station in the average. The result is reasonable.

Abstract: The article deals with an issue of uncontrolled cross intersections with cranked priority. There is introduced the procedure of capacity analysis of classical intersection with normal priority according to the standards used in Czech Republic. It also described the proposal of capacity analysis of cross intersection with cranked priority.

Abstract: At home and abroad research, accident rate prediction model for highway safety assessment contains various influence factors, so it is difficult to find a comprehensive accident prediction model considering so much of them. In this article, we select appropriate accident prediction models through comprehensive literature research respectively about the highway alignment conditions, traffic conditions, interchange spacing conditions, then determine the weights of three accident prediction models using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), finally obtain the comprehensive safety assessment model after the consistency check. Its’ feasibility is proved by a practical example.

Abstract: Due to the large external costs of road transport, many developed countries have begun to shift the balance between road and rail transport, i.e. enhance the proportion of railway in the transport sector, especially in freight transport. The paper firstly analyzes the necessity of such balance shift, which requires the development of road-rail intermodal transport. Then, the paper focuses on the issue of transshipment equipments to solve the obstacles of road-rail intermodal transport, whose analysis includes both the drawbacks of traditional vertical transshipment equipments and the advantages of innovative horizontal transshipment equipments. Finally, the conclusions are drawn and further suggestions are suggested.

Abstract: Questo articolo illustra una proposta metodologica e una applicazione combinata di metodo Delphi e un Hierarchy Process nalytic (AHP) . Sono strumenti a supporto delle decisioni - a causa, rispettivamente gli scenari avvicinano e Multicriter ho una decisione Analisi - e hanno lo scopo di affrontare i problemi e processi in cui le scelte hanno una natura complessa e un ambito strategico. Proponiamo un processo di valutazione combinata: Delphi- multicriterio - progettato per superare alcune debolezze degli approcci alla scenari e multi-criteri, mentre il consolidamento e la convalida dall'esperienza empirica e la letteratura. Particolare enfasi è posta sul nodo della partecipazione delle parti interessate nel processo decisionale cruciale, normalmente conferiti momento tecnico e gestito da analista-decisore. Per quanto riguarda l'area di riferimento, per il ragionamento teorico e la sua applicazione ad un caso concreto, ha sarà dato risalto al problema della scelta tra scenari alternativi che collegano il miglioramento dell'aeroporto della Città Metropolitana di (Italia) competitività della Stretto.

Abstract: Interchange is not merely a major way of the intersection of main highways but also one of the important structures of freeway.And trumpet interchange is an important pattern of interchange. The design speed of ramps,the linearity indices of ramps and the patterns of loop ramps are the main influencing factors for the land occupation of freeway trumpet interchange.In this article, their influence on the land occupation have been analyzed in the first.Since then, specific studies between the land occupation and the loop-ramp patterns of trumpet interchanges.Finally, some advices were given to the design of interchanges.
