Abstract: Due to the climate and energy challenge, carbon reduction is expected to play an important role in environmental protection. In this research, we characterize the relationship between carbon emissions and petroleum energy consumption in Heilongjiang Province of China. This article calculates carbon emissions of petroleum energy consumption of Heilongjiang Province from 2005 to 2012. Moreover, it analyzes the gray correlation between the carbon emissions of petroleum energy consumption and its selected influence factors. Analysis of the results covered the influence petroleum energy consumption effect on the carbon emissions. Accordingly, we acquire GDP of Heilongjiang Province was driven mainly by petroleum energy consumption which was responsible for carbon emissions. In order to change this situation, utilizing clean energy, strengthening government management and advocating low carbon consumption in Heilongjiang Province are necessary in response to reducing carbon emissions.

Analysis and Quantitative Evaluation of Power Grid Corporation’s Carbon Emission Reduction Potential
Abstract: As an important part of energy industry, power grid plays a pivotal and irreplaceable role in promoting low-carbon development. In this paper, the carbon emission reduction potential of power grid corporation was systematically analyzed from qualitative and quantitative perspectives respectively. First, this paper discussed the pathways of power grid corporation’s carbon emissions reduction, including decreasing line loss, promoting clean energy development, and so on. Then, a quantitative evaluation model for carbon emissions reduction potential of power grid corporation was developed. Based on the model, the carbon emission reduction benefits that promoted and achieved by State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) in 2010 and 2015 were calculated. The results show that the carbon emission reduction benefits of SGCC is 138 million tons in 2010, and will be 481.8 million tons in 2015.

Abstract: This article tries to bring you an idea that using LNG distributed energy system in domestic ports. Ports used LNG instead of diesel as fuel for container trailers and bulk cargo loaders. The quantity of LNG consumption of port is in small scale with this way. LNG distributed energy will be good for port power optimization. It can decrease emission and improve port environment. Under the rapid growth and development of LNG application in China, it’s time to study this subject now. At the end of article, the author gives some questions about how to well use LNG distributed energy for deep studies in the future.

Abstract: A crisis is an essential attribute of a functioning system. Growth of consumption and production underlying it has its logical continuation in a recession that provokes socio-economic, ethical and political problems. The further development of a system within the frameworks of the present value paradigm gives birth to a threat of a global ecological disaster. The sustainable development concept, offered as an alternative, is capable of solving emergent problems of civilization. However, the development of green technologies and introduction of environmentally sustainable economy are insufficient when there is no public consciousness relevant to sustainable development.

Abstract: The problem about promoting the rapid economic growth while effectively reducing CO2 emission has aroused great attention of scholars both at home and abroad. Researches show that there are differences in the relationship between economic development and carbon emissions in the different historical stages of the different regions. This paper took Hubei Province as the survey region, by means of the decomposition model of CO2 emissions, accurately calculated CO2 emissions from 2001 to 2010 in Hubei Province, selected Hubei Province’s GDP and the three industries’ GDP as indicators of economic development, used the method of grey relational analysis to calculate grey correlation degree of Hubei Province’s GDP, three major industries’ GDP and CO2 emissions, carried on the comparative analysis of the relationship between economic development and CO2 emissions of Hubei Province in combination with China’s corresponding results, specifically put forward policy suggestions on energy conservation and emissions reduction in Hubei Province, so as to provide the theoretical reference for the development of low carbon economy in Hubei Province.

Abstract: Homeland is the spatial carrier of ecological civilization construction, to optimize the land space patterns is one of the main tasks of the ecological civilization construction. Land reclamation is one of the main ways of our land resources development and utilization. This paper discusses the main problems about land reclamation, analyzes the important role of ecological reclamation in promoting the ecological civilization construction. Basic direction and suggestions of ecological reclamation are proposed in order to promote the ecological civilization construction in China.

Abstract: Water consumption per ten thousand yuan industrial added value (WCPIAV) is the assessment indicator to implement the most stringent water management system to control water efficiency. This paper proposes trend analysis method, elasticity coefficient analysis method and influencing factors analysis method to predict WCPIAV in Jiangsu province, the experimental areas where implement the most stringent water management system. The results show that different methods predict well in different cities, influencing factors analysis method works better than the other two methods. An appropriate method should be selected depending on the specific situation.

Abstract: On the basis of the ecological carrying capacity connotation and to realize the coordinated development of economics and environment in Beijing mountainous valley areas, ecological carrying capacity evaluation was discussed in order to promote corresponding advice. The comprehensive evaluation index system was built which included ecosystem elasticity level,bearing capacity index and stress index of ecotourism. The comprehensive evaluation method was constructed. The score of ecosystem resilience of Lihuagou valley region in 2012 was 78.2, which was more stable. The score of carrying capacity of resource and environment was 71.2 which reached heavy level. The score of carrying capacity pressure was 53.3 which attained medium pressure. The score of carrying capacity system was 76.3 which was the second level. At last, this study promoted several corresponding advice.

Abstract: Renewable energy is an ideal source of power, with advantages such as low pollution, low energy consumption, sustainability, and an inexhaustible supply of energy. The method of importance-performance analysis (IPA) is frequently applied to measure satisfaction and to improve competitive strategies. In this study, we perform a complete analysis of the operational performance of Taiwanese renewable energy industries. A wind power company was recruited as a case study, and IPA was employed to survey and evaluate the company’s competitive performance. Subsequently, the results were used as a guide to improve the performance of the company.
