Abstract: The paper considers the processes of plasma chemical synthesis of silicate melts produced from quartz-feldspar raw materials with a view to obtain new construction materials having the advanced functional performance. Results are presented which illustrate physicochemical research findings (X-ray diffraction analysis, infrared spectroscopy) related to quartz-feldspar raw materials and a melts produced there from.

Abstract: In the article the radiation burden measurement technique of the X-ray source in the process of stabilization is described. The possibility of using this technique for the dose rate determination from the pulsed X-ray source is presented. The measurement technique approbation results at the pulsed X-ray source RAP-160-5 using thermoluminescent dosimeters DTL-02 are shown.

Abstract: The sorption mechanism of cadmium ions on the modified fen peat is investigated. The kinetic, equilibrium, and thermodynamic parameters of the process are calculated; kinetic equations and the diffusion sorption model are described. It is shown that the absorption process of cadmium ions from an aqueous solution is carried out by two sorption centers and follows the Langmuir law; the absorption mechanism is diffusional and is described by the anti-Yander model.

Abstract: The strain-stress state of the solid propellant rocket engines (SPRE) is simulated under impact. Orthotropic organoplastic is the material of the shell. The effect of orientation of elastic and strength properties of the shell material on the strain-stress state of the solid propellant is investigated. Normal interaction of single steel cylinder strikers and oblique impact, both simultaneous and at different times of multiple, converging steel spheric particles with SPRE are considered in the work. The investigation is conducted numerically. The numerical modeling was carried out in three-dimensional statement by a method of finite elements in frameworks of the continual approach of the mechanics of deformable solid. The destruction of the anisotropic material is described by tensor polynomial criterion of the fourth degree, which takes into account the influence of hydrostatic pressure.

Abstract: Simple model has been formulated to describe intermetallic formation in surface layers during ion implantation. The isothermal conditions have been assumed. The reaction scheme includes three stages (a) Ni+Al→NiAl (b) 3Ni+Al→Ni3Al (c) Ni3Al+2Al→3NiAl. The finiteness of relaxation time taking into consideration in the model leads to specific distributions of elements and new phases. The general approach is illustrated with the help of some example.

Abstract: On the basis of the invariant imbedding method the equations describing energy spectra of X-ray photoelectron emission by layers of a finite thickness are presented. The analytical decisions describing angular distributions of electrons emitted by layer were received in small-angle approximation and neglect the backscattering factor. Approbation of the received decisions is executed on the basis of comparison with results of Monte-Carlo simulation. The limitations of the theory neglecting with processes of an electron elastic scattering are shown.

Abstract: Importance of creating a climate in industrial workshops for advanced materials production is becoming an urgent problem. Main role in this case plays the heating of industrial premises. To select the optimal parameters it is necessary to carry out numerical studies. The paper presents results of numerical modeling of free convection and heat transfer in a closed rectangular region heated by gas infrared radiators. A comparative analysis of heat transfer modes in the area under consideration for the two different installation of infrared emitters.

Abstract: The present article describes the use of computational models to perform quantitative assessment of the environmental effects over the design period to ensure reliable operation of transport facilities, built with traditional materials. The peculiarities of forming moisture accumulation in road pavement materials and subgrade are given, as well as the climatic factors, which have an important role in change of the material properties of pavement.
