Fabrication Research on the Panel Packaging for FED with Carbon Nanotube Emitters

Article Preview

Abstract:

With simple screen-printing method, the field emission display (FED) with carbon nanotube (CNT) as field emitters was fabricated. The flat glass was used as back-plane, and the sintered silver slurry was utilized to form the conducting lines. The blank back-plane and the cathode back-plane was combined to make a panel room, and the anode back-plane would be included in it. The panel image would be formed on the anode back-plane surface, which was fixed with the blank back-plane. The glass edge of anode back-plane was treated with a inclined plane, which the conducting lines on the blank back-plane could be connected with the indium tin oxide electrodes on the anode back-plane. The whole FED panel was packaged, which possessed good field emission property and emission uniformity.
