Abstract: This paper presents a new switchable band pass filter based on electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) and coplanar-waveguide (CPW) structures and tuned by the MEMS shunt and series capacitive switches. By tuning the bridge height of the MEMS switches with low voltages (lower than 14.5v), the center frequency would be shifted with almost constant bandwidth. Proposed structure has smaller chip size and lower insertion (better than 0.375 dB) in mid band frequencies. Results show using MEMS technology and EBG structures not only improve the performance of the filter, but also they optimize the chip size. Therefore, it is suitable for radars, wireless, safe and multi-frequency communication systems.

Abstract: The paper showed the assisted research of some new dynamic behavior parameters and his influences to the dynamic behavior of the industrial robots. The research contents the mathematical model of these new dynamic parameters, assisted theoretical simulation of the new mathematical model after applies the rheological damper and the assisted establish of the influences of the model coefficients to the characteristics parameters. In the assisted experimental research by data acquisition were established the influences of some different dampers to the dynamic behavior and was proposed one proper smart damper system with magnetorheological damper (MRD), proper neural network with some time delays and recurrent links and soft control with acquisition board. By applying this new research was possible developing the new matrix -vector form of the torsor force- moment and the research of the global dynamic damper behavior and the global dynamic compliance of the industrial robot with proper smart damper system.

Abstract: In this paper, a new design of the electro-optical tuning voltage in buried fiber ring resonator (BFRR) system is proposed. The crystals of LiNbO3, (Ba, Sr)TiO3, K(Ta, Nb)O3 and KH2PO4 are used as electro-optic core materials. The applied voltage can generate different refractive index deformation when used different electro-optic crystals. Different electro-optic crystals produce distinct maximum power loss within BFRR. The power loss in an electro-optic crystal can be controlled by tuning the applied voltage. The K(Ta, Nb)O3 crystal produce maximum power loss with lower voltage compared to other crystals.

Abstract: This paper presents the design & modeling of distributed MEMS phase shifter for Ka band RF systems. The phase shift can be achieved by periodically placing the MEMS bridge variable capacitors as per Bragg frequency criteria on coplanar waveguide (CPW) using GaAs substrate. The EM & electromechanical simulation are carried out with various structural parameters to optimize the designs. The novelties like low insertion loss, low actuation voltage with distributed actuation pads & separate DC and RF are used to make the design unique. The EM simulations are carried out with HFSS and an insertion loss of -3.49 dB at 36GHz for a total Phase shift of 360 deg. was achieved with return loss of - 20.6 dB over a frequency band 34-38 GHz. The electromechanical simulations are carried to achieve the low actuation voltage of 10.3V. The significance of this study is the realization of the digital phase shifter through DMTL approach.

Abstract: Vectorization is the most fundamental operation in interpretation of line drawings and document analysis. There are several reasons for converting image vectorization. Vector data is normally created from existing natural source image like photographs, scanned images. Choosing a best vectorization method that suits the needs of the system is very important. In general, good methods must preserve information like line geometry and intersection junction as far as possible. It is also important to analyze the error and find the accuracy of the result with respect to the original data. We have compared Skeletonization by Mathematical Morphology and Voronoi Diagrams with original image for vectorizing images. Root mean squre error is one of the good methods to analysis an error on original Image, Mathematical Morphology and Voronoi Diagrams. Literature about above said methods is also included in this paper.

Abstract: The grid structure and its operation mood are becoming more complicated with the expansion of China Power Network which have higher requirement for security protection for relay protection network. This article proposes adaptive setting of switch positioner and line fault under wide area networks. Adaptive setting of switch positioner in system operation mode can effectively extend the protection scope of zone 2 impedance relay on the premise of protecting the cooperative relationship which has a better sensibility than traditional setting value of zone 2 impedance relay. Adaptive setting of line fault has high level of adaptation in system operation mode and sensitivity in each adjacent line which has lager protection scope than that of the traditional setting value and switch positioner.

Abstract: This paper present, the design and simulation of the Ka to v band RF-MEMS capacitive switch. The mechanic design and analysis of the RF-MEMS switches are based on both the finite element method and the full-wave electromagnetic simulation. A double-beam switch with a high impedance short transmission line is proposed to improve RF characteristics. The electronic characteristics, of the switches including insertion and return losses in up-state position, were more than -0.11 dB and less than -23 dB , respectively and isolation on down-state position was more than -30 dB on 50 GHZ frequency. In order to make lower actuated voltage, a serpentine spring folded suspension beam and low actuated area were used so that some important issues such as life and reliability of switch were considered in design.

Abstract: This paper is about CMOS MEMS resonant magnetic field sensor in which differential electrostatic actuation, capacitive sensing, resonant frequency, quality factor and sensitivity of interdigitated comb resonator is investigated. Information is embedded in the output signal frequency because it is robust against the interference from other sources during transmission. At damping ratio of 0.0001, resonant frequency of the comb resonator is 4.35 kHz with quality factor 5000 and amplitude 18.45 μm. Sensitivity of the device towards external magnetic field is 9.455 mHz/nT which is 10,000 times improved than recently published data.

Abstract: Flood submergence process simulation has important practical significance for flood control and disaster alleviation. An integrated information expression was developed to simulate flooding submergence. The Songhua River and urban area in Harbin, China were used as an example with the terrain described by a triangular mesh to describe the topological relations. A hydrodynamic model was used to calculate the water level of Songhua River, and submerged areas along the river were calculated by grid adjusting method for levees. The flooding process of levee-breach flow in Harbin city was simulated by using two methods: hydrodynamic model calculations method and water depth comparison method. Comparison of the two methods in terms of advantages and disadvantages were made. Combining hydrodynamic modeling method and domain searching method realized smooth simulation of flood routing process in three-dimensional virtual environment. The study presents the integrated information such as the geographical environment, flooded areas, flooding extent, and water depth distribution in the three-dimensional virtual environment, thus, can help improve flood submergence forecasting and decision.
