The Study on Modern Art Design for Product Decoration Design

Article Preview

Abstract:

A new art design is not a pure style of design but a synthesis of many styles, and its form and theme of expression in product design are not absolutely the same. In this paper, a preliminary discussion on new art design is conducted. Due to a serious shortage of materials and the turning of manpower & machines to the manufacture of war-related products, designers had to focus on the practicality of products, as they could no longer find extra materials and manpower for decoration. At the same time, the new materials for wars were developed significantly, and gradually the modernism style emphasizing practicality and opposing decoration became the mainstream of design, and this style had been popular for nearly a century.
