Abstract: In this paper, firstly, the organization structure and working principle of gliders are introduced. Secondly, the buoyancy driven principle of gliders as well as the composition of buoyancy drive system is given. Thirdly, the stationary movement state is analyzed and the law of motion about the steady gliding as well as steady spiral rotation in vertical space are given and the principles, control method of vertical steady glide as well as spiral steady rotation in space are also given, which provides an important theoretical basis with the movement control of underwater gliders. Finally, the vehicle’s underwater experiment was completed. The results of experiment proved that the theoretical analysis is correct and also verified that the design of vehicle is rational, which could meet the requirement of control.

Abstract: Grinding circuit (GC) of mineral processing industry is characterized by its multivariable, high interacting, time-varying parameters and large measurement delay nature. The product particle size and the circulating load of the GC are two important production indexes that directly related to performances of the subsequent beneficiation process and production rates of the overall mineral processing plant. However, they are usually difficult to be controlled effectively with conventional control strategies due to the above mentioned complex characteristics. In this paper, a modified analytical decoupling control (ADC) scheme is proposed to handle such an intricate multivariable process with large output delay. Control studies have been performed by simulation tests for setpoint tracking, disturbance rejection and robustness problems.

Abstract: Running in safe and stable status is a core issue of gas valve. An effective method was proposed in this paper to solve the problem of gas valve monitoring and control. The information obtaining and analysis system of gas valve were developed based on visual studio 2005 and sql sever 2005. Multiple functions such as data querying, information management, data statistics and report generation are included in this system. More important, the gas valve working status and key parameters can be monitored and controlled in real-time. While detecting state parameters exceeding the normal range, alarm will be sound and the response people’s cell will be called.

Abstract: several 2-D FEM models of SLIM with different kinds of secondary conductor structures are developed and analyzed based on certain equitable prerequisite. The computed magnetic field of different secondary conductor structures is analyzed, and the research results may give references on the optimization of secondary conductor structure.

Abstract: The emergency optical access system is proposed for communication interruptions caused by irresistible natural disasters. The system which is based on EPON adopts modular design and realizes hardware and software’s organic integration. By using dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm, the system can provide an integrated access of data, video, voice and multimedia business on the same platform. It uses the G.652 optical fiber. When the transmission distance is 20 kms, it reaches the system’s capacity as the downstream and upstream rates are 1.25 Gb/s. The system performance is simulated and verified through network software, and it provides grounds for the system’s organizing and management in a mobile environment.

Abstract: In this paper, a novel mobile robot system for searching books automatically in libraries is designed based on the radio frequency identification (RFID) and singlechip programming techniques. Recently, the barcode identification is frequently used in libraries. However, because of its unique advantages of RFID technology and its application in the intelligent robots will be able to achieve high-efficient automatic search of books. RFID has the advantages of large information storage and long identification distance etc., thus application in library management information system has great development potential. By using RFID long-distance identification ability combined with the close accurate positioning technologies, a mobile robot for automatic search of books in libraries is designed, which can effectively improve the book search efficiency, saves the massive cost and improve the library informatization level.

Abstract: Firstly, this paper presents several important technical standards and concepts of multi-format full-HD camcorder. Then it focuses on the application of pulldown theory in HD camcorders, and the meaning of such technical standards as "pA", "pN", "PsF". Finally, it introduces different system mode and recording format. It might be significant in reference and guidance.

Abstract: An aerostat is a tethered balloon with an aerodynamically shaped envelope containing a lighter-than-air gas that generates bulk of the lifting force. Aerostats are used extensively as an aerial platform for many scientific and commercial applications. Conventional aerostats envelopes have an ellipsoidal shape, due to which they suffer from a large amount of horizontal displacement (called blowby) due to the ambient winds. If the drag force acting on aerostat is high, the resulting blowbyis higher and a longer tether is required to maintain the specified operating altitude; this results in lower payload capacity. Recent studies have shown that winged aerostats (which have an envelope with airfoil cross-section) can reduce blowbydue to a much higher lift/drag ratio. This paper presents a comparative analysis of the operational effectiveness of a winged and conventional aerostat for scientific data gathering in lower Himalayas at various ambient wind speeds. The winged aerostat is seen to be much smaller in size, and has a much lower reduction in operating altitude due to blowby. The paper also describes the design of a prototype winged aerostat currently under development.

Abstract: The accuracy of current transformer (CT) is important guarantee of power system protection, monitoring and measurement. A new method based on live working technique for CT accuracy evaluation is proposed in this paper. Through constructing standard part, which is on-line insert into power lines, and comparing the data of standard part with the data of the measured part, the system can calculate the ratio error and phase displacement of the measured CT. The results of on-line test have shown that the proposed method is feasible and effective, and the accuracy of proposed system achieves 0.1 grades.
