Ionic Liquid-Based Luminescent Gd2SiO5: Tb Submicro-Meter Phosphors

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this report, we used a facile and efficient approach to prepare luminescent silicate phosphors in terms of amphiphilic ionic liquids (ILs) with different alkyl chain lengths. Facts prove that ILs as templates can effectively solubilize lanthanide salts and inorganic precursor, then green-emissive materials with significant increase of intensity and quantum yields were therefore fabricated compared to conventional sol-gel technique. The particle size distribution was measured by SEM and DLS, the average diameter was between 200 and 300 nm.
