Abstract: In allusion to the low efficiency and unsatisfactory result of the tradional optimization algorithms in existence for engineering design optimization,this paper proposes a cultural ant colony optimization(CACO) algorithm for application in design optimization of excavator’s mechanisms to improve the excavator’s performance efficiently. Through testing and verifying experiments,it is concluded that CACO can discovery knowledge during optimization process and use the knowledge to guide the heuristic searching process,furthermore,it is an appropriate algorithm for the optimization of excavator mechanisms. CACO costs less time and can get better quality solution to improve excavator’s main porformances.

Abstract: Based on the multidisciplinary design optimization method and the MDO software ISIGHT, the 16PA6STC diesel engine connecting rod was taken to the model, used the Pro/engineer software to build the 3D model of connecting rod. The software ANSYS and Nastran was taken to complete the static analysis and modal analysis to get the maximum equivalent stress and the first and second modal frequencies. the software including Pro/Engineer、ANSYS、Nastran, was combined on the ISIGHT to complete the structural optimization work on the condition of restrain the stress and modal of the connecting rod, to explore the application of the MDO design method in the diesel engine connecting rod structure optimization field, offer a reference for the further improvement design study.

Abstract: In this paper, ANSYS software is applied to determine the material distribution, load transfer path and equivalent sectional dimensions of the conceptual car body model based on the original body shape of engine cars. In terms of the finite element model of the body, the topology optimization is carried out according to the maximum bending and torsion stiffness, respectively. Through comparing the material distribution under different volume fractions and considering at the same time the manufacture feasibility, the initial style of body frame is achieved. Then, as the sectional dimensions of beams is optimized in both size and dimension, parameter matching scheme of the body frame in minimized weight is brought forward under constraints of the strength and stiffness at maximum frontal impact loads that improves the utilization rate of the material. The results suggest that both the design efficiency and quality can be improved greatly by combining topology and size optimization technology at the concept design phase of car body structure.

Abstract: Based on the analysis of the current research status of intelligent optimization algorithms, a concept of reconfigurable intelligent optimization is proposed according to the demands of different users and developing trends. A framework of software system platform for realizing the reconfigurable intelligent optimization is proposed, and a case study is given out to illustrate its application.

Abstract: Four primary parameters including top cone angle, separating barrel’s height, catching impurity fan’s rotate speed, winnower’s rotate speed were selected in this paper with self-fabricating test-bed. The optimal result of all factors was educed through orthogonal experiment, quadratic universal rotary assembly experiment and optimum design, and provide gist for separating cleaning system’s design of micro- combine harvester of wheat.

Abstract: The passage plays a vital role in operation and maintenance of naval ships. The rational design of the passage could increase the efficiency of combat logistics, life-cycle logistics and personnel movement under combat and emergency conditions. Borrowing ideas from facility layout, the model of optimal vertical passage layout was established to formulation the vertical passage layout problem. The Floyd’s algorithm was used to calculate the distance between two compartments and the particle swarm optimization algorithm was proposed to solve the mathematical model. From simulation results, the model and methods are feasible for the vertical passage layout problem.

Abstract: The hardware and software design of power fault recorder based on the embedded systems was introduced .The system adopted modularization design and double CPU work with each other. In order to improve the precision and speed of fault recording, The DSP chip TMS320C33 was used to diagnose the power system and record the parameter of power system when an inaccuracy or an abnormity occurred, which satisfied the requirement of high accuracy of the data. S3C44B0X as the main control processor was adopted, the embedded operate system uClinux was transplanted, which make easier to display, transfer and storage of important information, and it was useful to communicate with operators. Compared with the power fault recorder based on traditional MCU, the system had several advantages, such as higher accuracy of data acquisition, higher solution speed, bigger system capacity, and so on. If the system combines with better fault detection algorithm and data compression algorithm, its performance was improved to a great extent.

Abstract: This paper presents an efficient hybrid algorithms (EHA) based on harmony search (HS) algorithms and genetic algorithm (GA) for solving blocking flow shop scheduling problem. An improved GA is used to get better results. The computational result shows that EHA is not only better than GA , but also better than HS algorithm.

Abstract: Control system and some functional circuits of automotive CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) based on ATmega164P single chip computer were introduced in this paper. Hydraulic system of the CVT was controlled according to the throttle position signal, oil pressure, rotating speed of the engine and transmission output speed etc. This system has achieved the clamping force control of the metal belt.

Abstract: Abstract: Both the method of engineering and nonlinear finite element method have been used to the analysis and optimum design of the 30 in. marine riser with the screw thread. Two load steps have been used in the finite element analysis including the processes of both assembling and applying the load of piling, and the nonlinear contact between marine risers has been considered in the simulation. Numerical results show that the stress in the marine riser increase rapidly when the magnitude of interference of the screw thread change slightly. By the way to change interferential magnitude of the screw thread, the maximum stress of Von Mises decrease from 681MPa to 381MPa and contact stress decrease from 238MPa to 122MPa. The engineering practice over 100 piles in offshore platform has shown that the numerical results are good.
