Abstract: An ultrasonic dry cleaning system is a kind of air-blowing cleaning system, which clears away fine particles of dust adhering to a surface. This system does not require high cost consumables such as highly pure gases or chemical solvents. Moreover it removes micro contaminant particles without additional cooling or heating processes. In this paper, a numerical simulation of the ultrasonic dry cleaning system was carried out to propose an optimum ultrasonic generator. We evaluated the flow in the chamber according to the groove shape of ultrasonic generator, and system operating pressure using a commercial fluid dynamic simulation tool. And the trend of the sound pressure level (SPL) according to frequency was checked to determine whether or not the ultrasonic generator module could generate an ultrasonic wave. The particle trajectories were compared for several conditions and particle sizes. We confirmed that an ultrasonic wave of sufficient flow velocity can be generated through the ultrasonic generator module. And the changes of SPL according to the system operating pressure and the shape of the ultrasonic generator groove were confirmed respectively.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to develop a micro electro-magnetic actuator manufactured by MEMS-based fabrication and electroplating techniques. This actuator presented a novel technique in the electromagnetic fabrication and smaller physical size than the traditional counterparts for micro actuators and provides a faster response time and lower cost. A micro coil structure is released from FeCl3 etchant and bonded on a thin film (Parafilm”M”, Pechiney Plastic Packaging Inc.) to achieve an actuator-membrane structure. When an external AC power is applied to a micro coil, a magnetic field is created to attract and repel through an NdFeB permanent magnet, and the displacement of the membrane is increased as a current of AC power. The results show the measured magnetic field intensity weakens as the distance between the coil and the Gauss meter probe increases. However, it is observed that the magnetic field intensity does not increase linearly with the number of series coils, which is due to the distance between series coils.

Abstract: The product distribution is one of the most important functions that directly impact the organizational performance in term of cost and service level. This paper reports the case study from one of the leading company in Thailand to redesign its’ distribution network. Being driven by marketing initiatives, the company would like to operate its’ own distribution centers to instead of relying on wholesalers. In this study, the methodology for redesigning the distribution network is described in details. The distribution network redesign can help the company achieve higher customer service and reduce its’ expense by $290,000 per month

Abstract: Today with swift growing of plastic cards industry in the world, variety and volume of data stored in the database is growing strongly, this issue reminds the growing need of banks and financial institutions in applying knowledge discovery processes on value creation services. The original approach of this paper, is step by step implementing process of data mining in real-life transaction of debit cards, with the aim of customer profiling. In this study profiling is applied with two approaches of explorative and predictive analysis. In explorative model SOM and TwoStep clustering techniques are used. Also in predictive model four decision tree techniques are applied, the C5.0, Chi-square Automatics Interaction Detection (CHAID), Quest, classification and regression. Finally, the optimal models details are more analyzed to discover the knowledge in transactions done.

Abstract: To solve the precise positioning issue of underwater maneuver targets (UMTs), based on sea-surface wireless sensor networks (S2WSN) technique, this paper proposes a new positioning algorithm without exterior satellite-based or earth-based wireless navigation information as well as underwater space-time datum. The measure equations of UMT’s positioning are assembled by combining the relative radio ranges among ships with the angles of arrival from UMT. Monte Carlo simulation demonstrates that the bias of the proposed algorithm, in which the weight of heterogeneous information is adaptively adjusted by Helmert technology, is only 10% around of the conventional single platform acoustics positioning technology.

Abstract: Cloud computing is an important innovation of current computing models. At present, the research on the security of cloud computing is mainly concentrated on PCs and servers. The security of embedded system in cloud environment does not win enough attention. This paper analysis the security threats of it, and proposes a Secure Hardware Model to provide a tamper-resistant and more reliable hardware embedded platform in cloud environment. Our model adds some new components to traditional embedded system, controls the start sequence of platform’s components, verifies the integrity of crucial information for embedded platform and recovers the system if necessary. Our implementation demonstrates the feasibility of Secure Hardware Model, it enhance the secure and reliable boot of embedded system. With the constant development and application of embedded system in cloud computing field, our research will influence cloud computing greatly.

Abstract: The most common predictable approach to land subsidence is to choose, analyze and forecast a representative deformation observation points .If an uneven land subsidence (settlement) comes into being, the settlement rate of deformation observation points will be different. The analysis of the individual subsidence observation points can not reflect the true ground subsidence in the region . Instead, the comprehensive analysis of the information about all the deformation observation points can more objectively reflect the overall settlement of the region. This study makes use of all the observation points to establish a triangular mesh deformation, and uses the superposition of the Terrain surface TIN model and the design surface TIN model to obtain the earthvolume in the two surface triangular elements. Through the earthvolume, the size of the overall settlement of the ground situation can be indirectly reflected in order to adopt appropriate preventive measures . This paper studies the Earthvolume as a research object, employs Gompertz curve model to fit the data and design the forecast model to make accurate assessments. The research shows that this method can reflect the overall total ground settlement, and explore the laws of the land subsidence when an uneven settlement arises.

Abstract: This paper presents the principles and the implementation phases of a Total Quality Management in the TV stations, showing at the same time the advantages of this process and its positive effects upon both the broadcasted programs and the amount of the production costs. The subject was approached by the author in her Ph.D. thesis, “The Management of the Audiovisual Communication Systems in Fuzzy Logic”, being an original and personal contribution in the TV management field.

Abstract: In this study, effects of laser assisted self-pierce riveting (LSPR) as a mechanical joining technique were investigated on the coatings of self- piercing rivets. Zn-Sn and Al plated rivets were used to join magnesium sheets by LSPR. Microstructure, surface topography and roughness of the rivet’s coatings were characterized by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and surface profilometry. A comparison of results before and after joining process showed that under joining conditions, Zn-Sn coating was deformed during riveting process and its thickness and microstructure varied along the rivet shank, while Al coating remained unchanged and no effects of riveting process was detected.

Abstract: The numerical analysis of the cutting zone average temperature and the temperature distribution of the chip and cutting tool are performed in this paper. To derivate the equations, the conditions of both conventional and horizontal vibration assisted machining are analyzed and the results are compared. The previous finite element results along with the experimental results show good agreement with the numerical results achieved from this research and explain the temperature reduction in the cutting zone. The results clearly show that horizontal vibration assisted machining excels the heat distribution in the tool and chip, which justifies the tool wear reduction in this process.
