Abstract: A method of determining the optimal number of inspectors and/or working time required on a specific SPC activity is presented in the study. The issue of inspection manpower planning is handled as a constrained optimization problem. The optimization strategy is not only to minimize the avoidable surplus quality loss due to failure of detecting the out-of-control states but to determine the cost of inspection manpower from the perspective of deploying an appropriate amount of inspection manpower in a cost-effective manner, and meanwhile the values of sample size, sampling interval and control limits of control charts are also determined. The result obtained indicates that the total cost (or loss) can be substantially reduced if implementing control charts was equipped with adequate inspection manpower.

Abstract: The non-stationary signal features are averaged in correspondence with the length of analysis time, thus making it impossible to highlight the signal characteristics and caused the difficulties in identifying or diagnosing faults. In this paper, the wavelet order spectrum method using a combination of wavelet transform (WT) and speed frequency ordering. The feature order does not change with variations in speed, thus can effectively identify non-stationary faults in mechanical equipment. In addition, principal components analysis (PCA) is used to extract the main features of the wavelet order spectrum and reduce the volume of data. This is combined with self-organizing maps (SOM) to devise an artificial intelligence method for fault diagnosis in non-stationary states.

Abstract: Nowadays, since sewage disposal plant monitoring system is changed to combine automating control system tendency, automatic measurement method is widely applicable water temperature, pH, BOD, COD, suspended solid, etc. And its tendency is accumulated objective data. However, in the case of leaking suspended solid concentration measurement, it is literally not a long way from managing settling procedure. Because it has an effect on SS concentration of leaked water only when settled ability is disturbed. In other words, it means that research about solid-liquid separation activated sludge on automated monitoring system currently lacks, and needs research in this field. Considering that sedimentation process in the biological treatment process is one of the most important part, currently performed way, namely, SVI measured and judged by experienced specialists in standard procedure has weaknesses which objectivity cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, for maintaining the consistency of judging criteria and ensuring continuity of knowledge, objectified in the settling process is needed to build diagnostic systems. This paper proposed the method using image processing techniques over time due to settling of the sludge is analyzed for changes in height, also due to changes in sedimentation rate by analyzing the performance of the sludge settling, then send administrator for the system to pass the current state of the sludge.

Abstract: The applications of the remote image surveillance in the unattended substation were limited by the narrow bandwidth of wireless communication network. A novel method is proposed to adapt the wireless environment. The technique, implemented to obtain the digital instrument’s reading which is set as the ROI(region of interest) automatically, utilizes Harris corner detection. Then the ROI encoding in JPEG2000 technology is used in the image of the region of interest compressed at a higher quality than the rest of the image. The instrument’s reading information of unattended substation can be transmitted to dispatching center using wireless network effectively. Results show that the proposed method is feasible in terms of image quality and compression, adapting the narrow bandwidth, and improving the image of the real-time transmission.

Abstract: Micromirrors fabricated by MEMS technology may be important sensing components in optical tracking systems used in many industrial applications. This paper deals with the analytical model of a 2-D gimbal mounted micromirror and with the simulation of a steady state response of the micromirror in Simulink. The model of a 2-D micromirror should be further used in a simulation of its dynamical behavior.

Abstract: In today world, decision-making has been converted into a vital issue for managers such that in some conditions, managers are encountered with some cases which correct decision- making guarantees the survival of company. Operations research is among the sciences which in direction for decision-making, helps the managers quantitatively and using of mathematical models which are called linear programming. In this paper, it is addressed to the significance and the role of operations Research in decision-making of managers and a definition about operations research is presented and two mathematical models are presented to help the decision-making of managers to provide customers orders with the least wastes and determination of human force and over-working.

Abstract: Nowadays, in a dramatically changing marketplace, the integration of all of the resources in a supply chain has been regarded as an important issue for firms. However, in this complex network relationship, which links among firms, lots of uncertain factors could affect the performance of a supply chain. Thus, a structural fit model is needed to address the relationship between supply chain integration (SCI) and environmental uncertainty (EU). Empirical data for hypothesis testing are collected from top-ranked companies in Taiwan. The results show that fit specifically has a positive direct effect on supply chain performance.

Abstract: This paper designs the hardware and software interface of the 1-Wire slave device based on MSP430 MCU. It gives the hardware circuit schematic and the software flow, describes the working principle. The design of hardware is very easy to use and the costs are low because the hardware of the 1-Wire bus slave device includes a MSP430 MCU and some ordinary components only. The software is easy to program and expends its function so for different purposes. By this design, the scope of application of 1-Wire bus is expended. The device has none interface of 1-Wire bus can communicate with MSP430 first and then communicate with master by the simulative 1-Wire bus slave device interface based on MSP430. If system has used 1-Wire device, using this design could reduce the complexity because need not use other information protocol.

Abstract: As multi-antenna being used in MIMO system to transmit signals with the same carrier frequency, one physical channel will contain multi-virtual independent Rayleigh fading channel (VIRFC), among which very small relative time delay is existed, so the definition in MIMO theory for the independent Rayleigh fading channel (IRFC) in MIMO system is wrong. Based on the Shannon formula and the principle of phase-controlled antenna array, an SHPCA system would be presented in the paper to substitute the MIMO system, as well as the 3-dimensional channel capacity formula with its capacity proportional to the number of antennas and that of space division multiplex (SDM), which would have higher efficiency than Shannon formula. Also the principle and research method to obtain the gain of channel capacity would be given in the paper, so as the simulation results.

Abstract: Many researchers have shown for decades that there is strong correlation between foliar color and its nitrogen nutrition status. However, their results also proved the big difference of this correlation among different crops or plants. In this paper, foliar image color features especially for rubber nitrogen nutrition status analysis are presented by comparative studies on current color feature indexes. Experimental results have shown that the ratio of red or green component to the blue component with detection rate of more than 98% is more suitable for rubber nitrogen nutrition analysis than any other correlations.
