Arterial Stiffness Index Measurement Based on the Oscillometry

Article Preview

Abstract:

Arterial stiffness is a very important physical parameter and the measurement to it is very important in clinic. This paper describes the principle and arithmetic of arterial stiffness index. The measuring algorithm based on oscillometric method is also discussed. The algorithm proves effective and reliable through the analysis of many cases and doing lots of clinical tests, it has been developed software under LabVIEW7.0 and applied in the hospital. Furthermore, it can give the information of the measurer’s arterial stiffness and provide reference to doctor to determine the measurer’s cirrhosis level.
