Abstract: It was found that ethyl violet can react with sodium dodecyl benzene sulfate (SDBS) to form ion associates in pH 2.2 ~ 2.8 of buffer solution of potassium hydrogen phthalate and hydrochloric acid in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol. Based on this, a method was proposed for online determination of anionic surfactant in environmental waterby. Under the optimum experimental conditions, Beers law was obeyed in the concentration range of 80 µg/L ~ 3500 µg/L of anionic surfactant (SDBS). The relative standard deviation of 2.1% was was obtained by injecting 800 µg/L of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfate standard solution (n=10). The detection limit calculated from three times of the average background noise was 4.39 µg/L. The proposed method had been applied successfully to the determination of anionic surfactant in environmental water and the results showed good agreement with that of the standard method.

Abstract: The disposal of the drill cuttings is a complex environmental problem. In the paper, two offshore drill cuttings management options are evaluated using life cycle inventory analysis, namely offshore reinjection and onshore solidification. Environmental burdens of the two management options are calculated. Results indicated that: a) From the life cycle perspective, treating 1 m3 drill cuttings, onshore solidification generate more CO2, CO, NOx, COD, TOC and Ammonia nitrogen than reinjection. On the contrary, reinjection generate more PM 2.5, PM10, SOx, Nitrate, and SS than solidification. Which option has less environmental impact needs further assessment. b) Selecting an environment-friendly curing agent is necessary for solidification process to reduce CO2 emissions.

Abstract: As number of aged bridges increases, determining how to generate bridge maintenance strategy gradually becomes a research hotspot. Markov process was used to analyze bridge maintenance cost according to its characteristics during serving period. A kind of maintenance decision-making method was put forward based on OWA and OWGA from the angle of sustainable development. And this method was proved applicable by an example.

Abstract: The character of COD release in the sediment of Tang He Reservoir was studied under the condition of different concentrations, temperatures, pHs, disturbances, and dissolved oxygen through indoor simulation experiment. It was concluded that sediment could adsorb more organic pollutants when the river was at a higher concentration; whether the temperature was raised or lowered, the COD emission all increased, so the maintenance of temperature could inhibit the release of COD in water; the water stable at the pH of 8; disturbance significantly increased the released quantity of COD; low dissolved oxygen could promote release of COD. The study can provide scientific basis for comprehensive treatment of Tang He Reservoir.

Abstract: The diagnosis analysis of MSBR has remained difficult due to the complexity of biological reaction mechanisms and the involvement of highly non-linearity and uncertainty. In this paper, the Bayesian network was used to modeling and diagnosis analysis of a MSBR. The suggested BN model for MSBR was evaluated using one-year of operation data. Results showed that the BN-based model for MSBR is reasonable and the prediction analysis algorithm is feasible. According to the framework of the diagnostic analysis, an example was given to illustrate the detailed information of diagnostic of a MSBR. Experimental results indicated that the corrective measures based on the diagnostic analysis were reasonable.

Abstract: Aim at the problems generated by facility agriculture such as low automation and ineffective environment regulation and control in the grape growing process, the paper proposes grape information collecting and monitoring system based on Crossbow eKo wireless sensor network (WSN), the system collects environmental parameters such as real-time temperature, light intensity, soil moisture and relative humidity and regulates parameters according to the best growing conditions in real-time. The experiment shows that the grape monitored and controlled by eKo system which compared to grapes planted by traditional technology is much improved in some respects such as output, size, luster and taste.

Abstract: Temporal and spatial patterns of temperature and humidity in shelterbelts of Taxodium distichum were investigated using routine observation and gradient observation methods in sampling plots placed in Taxodium distichum shelterbelts, sugarcane, and open (blank) fields, respectively. The results showed that: 1) Taxodium distichum shelterbelts mitigated air temperature in July. Air temperature of Taxodium distichum shelterbelts was 0.7 °C and 1.7 °C lower than that of sugarcane field and blank field in July, respectively, while less change of air temperature in January was recorded. Air temperature at 20 cm from the ground in the Taxodium distichum shelterbelts was the highest in April, October and January, but the lowest in July; 2) Relative humidity in the Taxodium distichum shelterbelts was higher than in blank field through the four seasons, but lower than in sugarcane field in July, October and January. Relative humidity in sugarcane field and Taxodium distichum shelterbelts was higher near the ground, and relative humidity in sugarcane field increased significantly; 3) One-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s HSD indicated that both air temperature and relative humidity were significantly different with a seasonal pattern among shelterbelts of Taxodium distichum, sugarcane field and open field (P<0.001).

Abstract: To ensure 120 years design life of the large marine environmental engineering concrete structures in South China, and assess the status of the development of durability of concrete structure in real time w a research has been performed on embedded-non-destructive corrosion monitoring sensor systems, data acquisition and software integration, combined exposure test of concrete under environment in South China more than 30 years and laboratory test. It is a new type of technology for corrosion monitoring, assessment and early warning, which based on electrochemical principle, network transmission, expert software system, integrated the durability of the project full set of intelligent real-time monitoring and early warning expert systems.
