Abstract: A seven-step method for risk analysis that is directed towards domino accidents has been put forward in the light of the characteristics of domino effects in the present essay. it is a systematic procedure for the quantitative assessment of the risk caused by domino effects. By adopting the method, the propagation function of failure equipment in domino accidents chain is analyzed, so the resulting risk of potential domino accidents can be obtained through quantitative risk analysis, subsequently, the contribution of domino effects to potential life loss, individual and social risk is calculated.

Abstract: Environmental safety in a tourism area is one of the basic security for tourists health. Thus, it is of great significance to assess the heavy metal-based potential health risk of a tourism area and its surrounding areas. This study mapped the carcinogenic risk of heavy metal polluted soil in a tourism area of XX City through procedures including on-site sampling, exposure dose estimation, toxicity assessment, carcinogenic risk calculation, and GIS (Geographic Information System) spatial interpolation. Results show that the soil of the tourism area was contaminated by heavy metals such as As, Cd. The maximum Cd concentration in soil was 41.60 times more than the second level of Soil Environmental Quality Standard of China (SEQSC). Meanwhile, the carcinogenic risk of heavy metal polluted soil is much higher than the international acceptable limits (i.e. 1.0E-06) with maximum risk value at 148.7E-06. Source contribution analysis also disclosed that the carcinogenic risk in the tourism area is mainly attributed to As. It therefore can be concluded that As and Cd polluted soil in the tourism area of XX City needs to be recovered immediately in order to protect tourists health.

Abstract: Monitoring of the organophosphorus pesticides dichlorvos at very low levels has been achieved with liposome-based nanobiosensors. The enzyme acetylcholinesterase was effectively stabilized within the internal nanoenvironment of the liposomes. Within the liposomes, the pH sensitive fluorescent indicator pyranine was also immobilized for the optical transduction of the enzymatic activity. Increasing amounts of pesticides lead to the decrease of the enzymatic activity for the hydrolysis of the acetylcholine and thus to a decrease in the fluorescent signal of the pH indicator. The decrease of the liposome biosensors signal is relative to the concentration of dichlorvos down to 10-12 M levels. Also a colorimetric screening device for pesticide analysis has been evaluated.

Abstract: As the increase of mining depth and the improvement of mechanization, the thermal environment of mine have become worse and worse, its high temperature problem becomes increasingly serious. This phenomenon severely endangered the safety of mine production and miner's physical and mental health. Mechanical refrigeration method has replaced traditional non artificial cooling method, which has become the main measure of preventing and controlling mine heat hazard. This paper has disgussed measures of preventing and controlling of mine heat hazard, analyzing and comparing advantages and disadvantages of four kinds of mine air conditioning system, then point out that comprehensive, efficient and energy saving are the development direction of preventing and controlling mine heat harzard.

Abstract: During the course of fermentation of Chinese sauerkraut, it would produce nitrite. However, the presence of nitrite made Chinese sauerkraut cause edible security problem. In this study, the change regularity of nitrite during natural fermentation was analysed, and the best edible time was determined. The results showed that content of nitrite was increased in the early stage of fermentation, after reaching to a peaking content, it reduced significantly to a low level, and then it changed little at the mature stage. That is to say, it could guarantee the edible security when Chinese sauerkraut matured.

Abstract: In order to find exactly which unsafe act would cause gas explosions easily, some traditional statistics of the blasters' unsafe act which recorded during 1999 to 2008 were reviewed. The gray relevancy analysis method was used to analyze the blaster's unsafe act. The gray relevancy degree of blaster's unsafe act was got. Results show that the four kinds of act ('blasting with fire or coal mine electric power', do not cover the connection of bus properly', 'hole sealing without water stemming', 'do not have enough stemming') have a closer relationship with gas explosions.

Abstract: On the basis of field environmental investigation and monitoring, the environmental radioactivity background of Xinchang and Jijicao rock in Beishan preselected region has been preliminary investigated and studied, and the public dose from local natural background radiation is estimated which can provide basic data and information for environmental impact assessment and safety assessment of HLW(the high level radioactive waste) disposal repository in the future. From the result of investigation and study, the environmental radioactivity of Xinchang and Jijicao rock is generally within normal natural background. The effective dose to local resident from natural background radiation is 2.110 mSv/a by internal and external exposure.

Abstract: Aiming at the fire type and evolution of large ship cabins, a fire risk analysis method of large ship cabins based on fire scene analysis was established, which is basing on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) SOLAS Convention and International fire procedures (FTP ) by combining Chinas ship cabins fire protection technology and fire safety management features. The purpose is to improve technical level of the fire risk management and fireproof disposal basing on fire prevention with warning disposal by dynamic risk management of ship cabins fire hazard and fire control technology.

Abstract: With the deepening of scientific and technological progress and globalization, the social management of disaster and its research has been becoming a global hot spots based on the objective background of risk society. The paper not discusses, Which is combined with practical experience and research literature of China's disaster management, the practical appeal and purposes of disaster management but initially reveals its mechanism is "the mode of regularity, which is formed in the process of change and development of the social disaster management" based on the definition of disaster management. At the same time, the paper also points out the basic operation framework of the management of disaster is "the warning and preparedness before the disaster, the controling and handling in disaster, post-disaster assessment and reconstruction", and thus put forwards the corresponding policy recommendations.

Abstract: A two-dimensional unsteady flow model was established by Realizable k-ε turbulence model and SIMPLE algorithm, which was applied to conduct numerical simulation of sudden leakage and diffusion of coal gas in the plant area. Then, time-dependent distribution laws of coal gas under different influencing factors were analyzed. The results showed that as the leaking mouth diameter, internal pressure and wind speed increase, the concentration was roughly the same near the mouth; coal gas that was 3m away from the mouth diffuses more quickly and the area covered within explosion limit of coal gas expanded to some extent. For different gas medium, converter gas spread more widely than coke oven gas. The former accumulated on the ground, the latter accumulated above the ground.
