Abstract: An unprecedented ice storm occurred in south China in early 2008, bringing extensive damages and huge losses to human beings and natural ecosystems. By site specific survey, coupled with review of the government documents and reports, we made an ecological impact assessment on the ice storm. 19 provinces were attacked with a population of over 100 million affected. The ice storm caused extensive damage to vegetation, crops, wildlife and insects. A total forestland of 19.4 million hectares impacted, with 340 million m3 standing volume lost. The ecological service of the forests considerably impaired, with the capacity of the water and soil conservation, water resources conservancy and carbon sequestration weakened largely. An area of 14.32 million hectares crops were impacted, with oilseed rape, vegetable and fruit severely damaged. 30,000 wild animals under special state protection were died or injured due to the storm, and distribution and population density of some insects were impacted.

Abstract: Guangzhou urban ecosystem health evaluation index system was built by the connotation of urban ecosystem health and the actual situation in Guangzhou city. The system concluded five indexes such as vigor, organizational structure, resilience, ecosystem services and health status of populations. Each index weight was calculated with entropy-weight method, and comprehensive evaluation model was established to assess the urban ecosystem health level of Guangzhou city. The results showed that the health status of the ecosystem of Guangzhou city was good in 2010. High energy consumption, the R & D expenditure, environmental protection investment, urban public green space and Engel coefficient had exerted influence on the healthy development of Guangzhou city. Thereby, strategies and measures should be put forward in an attempt to provide some background information an d programming reference for the sustainable development of the city.

Abstract: In this paper, the panel data model of China's 29 provinces from 2000 to 2008,to study the environmental effects of foreign direct investment, and analysis the differences of the environmental effects of foreign direct investment.from the eastern, central and western three economic belts. Empirical results show that, FDI inflows have a negative environmental impact to China, and this effect is weaker in the east and stronger in the west. Relative policy suggestions are given based on the research.

Abstract: Based on numerical simulations on the hydrodynamics and dissolved tracer transport, the water exchange ability of the Shuidong Bay, China was simulated, and the regulation effects of different scenarios are evaluated. Through analysis, at present the water exchange ability of the Shuidong Bay is poor with monthly exchange rate only 65%. If the bay was dredged to bottom elevation-3.0m, the monthly exchange rate could be greatly enhanced to 88%. If a new western tidal inlet was constructed, its contribution to the exchange rate is not significant, and the monthly exchange rate is 67%. After comprehensive comparisons, the scenario of proper dredging the Shuidong Bay is suggested.

Abstract: Environmental regulations intensity usually affected the environmental sensitivity production directly. Based on the annual data from 1994 to 2010 as the sample interval, this paper carries out the empirical analysis about the effect of economic growth and Chinese environmental regulations intensity on the crude steel production, research results show that the Chinese environmental regulation is the Granger cause of crude steel production, and environmental regulation has an adverse effect on crude steel production, Chinese economic growth promotes the growth of crude steel production.

Abstract: According to the current situation of domestic carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction and the abatement planning of power plants, the decision-making model for optimal CO2 abatement investment in power plants has been built concerning uncertainties on CO2 policies and investment return rate. Under the framework, a case study on power plant was introduced. It is found that (i) higher permits price may stimulate power plants to increase abatement investment under certain return rate, (ii) whether power plants choose to invest more or not depends on the value of returns at fixed carbon price, and (iii) investment and its returns will change in the same directions with the investment return rate. It is suggested that for the mitigation goals to be met in a more efficient way, more stringent CO2 control measures and policies to lower investment costs should be taken into account.

Abstract: Reclamation is one of the most important utilization manne0r of ocean for mankind. Yet because reclamation changes natural bank shape in short term, so it can strongly disturb the whole natural system, which affect the stability, diversity and sustainability of the seashore .Evaluation and comparison of various coastal reclamation are often complicated by the absence of a natural or obvious way to weigh the importance of the expected performance. This paper constructs the influence of reclamation on fishery resources index system based on Pressure-State-Response (PSR) model, using composite index method to evaluate the influence.

Abstract: The sewage diffusion effect under deep water was carried out between different diffuser design parameters based on the hydraulic model test, and Huizhou Dayawan sewage marine disposal project was taken as an example. The experimental results show that the design parameters are significant for sewage diffusion at the near field. For Dayawan project, jet angle was controlled to be 20 degree, and horizontal angle was controlled to be 90 degree. It not only can ensure that sewage fully diluted mixed, also can avoid the premature convergence and sewage lifting. It is feasible for selecting large angle nozzle under deep water and there are some technical bases have been provided for other sewage marine disposal project.

Abstract: In order to answer following two questions, One is the influence factors and the influence degree of Nanjing comprehensive index of environmental quality,Another is in the future five years Nanjing comprehensive index of environmental quality trend prediction. This paper begins with a qualitative analysis of factors affecting the environmental quality in Nanjing City, resulting in the classification of these factors according to their importance and significance by using the Grey Correlation Analysis method; Based on the fact that environmental quality n in Nanjing system is gray, this paper established the Grey forecasting model GM (1, 1), 2012 ~ 2016 Nanjing comprehensive index of environmental quality was forecast. This paper studies showed that Nanjing environmental quality is the basic health; As long as continue to strengthen the work of environmental management, in the next five years, Nanjing environmental quality will remain stable.

Abstract: Based on the environmental impact assessment automation system (C4ISRE) and environmental remote sensing technology, integrating virtual reality simulation method, the environmental impact assessment of aircraft noise pollution was simulated by system simulation. Took Environmental Impact Assessment for new school site of Northeastern University for example, the simulation for environmental impact assessment of noise pollution was realized, which provided an effective way to further study Informatization Environmental Assessment.
