Reason Analysis and Solution of the 220kV Breaker's Malfunction in Synchronous Parallel Operation

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper briefly describes the principle and procedure of the synchronized operation of the breaker. The cause of the unavailability of manual operation of the bus-tie breaker at a 220 kV substation is identified and a solution is found. The onsite test results show that the proposed solution is effective which enhances the stability of the power grid.
