Abstract: Concrete hollow block after being shaped up is possessed of features like strong shrinkage, poor thermal conductivity and repeated contraction after dampness, which leads to many problems in the use of concrete hollow block wall material. This article elaborates the causes of cracks on concrete hollow block wall from multiple perspectives, such as temperature expansion, air shrinkage, construction quality and design structure, and put forward solutions according to the causes from aspects of production, design, construction and technique improvement.

Abstract: The ring beam supporting system is a new kind of reasonable support system, which gives full play to the advantages that the concrete ring beam can bear reinforced huge pressure. Based on the analysis of the horizontal lateral displacement of diaphragm wall with three-dimensional numerical simulation, conclusion is obtained that the most dangerous zone exists in range of middle 1/4 of diaphragm wall, which is 0 ~ 6 m above the excavation surface and should be a key area monitoring. And there is enough space for pitting of earth in the process of foundation excavation, it also makes construction convenient and saves the time and cost of foundation pit support.

Abstract: Muddy water seepage theory is an important content which can not be ignored in seepage calculation. The study on muddy water seepage theory starts late. Now most of the theory used for seepage calculation is clear water theory. The process of the percolation of muddy water and clear water has the same physical mechanism. There are still special effects on the process of the percolation in relation to sediment material in muddy water.The scope of application of muddy water seepage theory is wide. Muddy irrigation, water-soil conservation, tailings dam seepage analysis and many other fields require muddy water seepage theory. The theory has important theoretical and application value in production practice. Based on the research status on muddy water seepage theory, this paper discusses the seepage experiment,the flow mechanism and engineering application in many aspects, analyses and summarizes previous research achievements. Finally, a brief conclusion of the key problems and the development trend of muddy water seepage theory are elaborated.

Abstract: Currently, the safety evaluation of gravity dam concentrates on stress and anti-sliding stability of the dam. A lot of research shows that the upper area of the dam is one of the whole dams weakest areas during an earthquake and should be studied in details. In this study, the genetic algorithm and non-linear FEM analysis are combined, then a search program is written to search the critical slip surface in the dams upper area. Finally, the surface which has the least anti-sliding stability coefficient is obtained, the most dangerous slip surface and its anti-sliding coefficient as well as the corresponding time are acquired to evaluate the safety of the dam.

Abstract: Prediction of subsurface ground deformation during bedrock faulting is important for structures located at potential seismic areas. In this paper, a theoretical approach was developed based on error function. Settlement profiles are found to be well represented using error function. Normalization issues of settlement profiles are discussed and it is found that the vertical displacements can be normalized with vertical displacement of the bedrock hanging wall h.

Abstract: Pressure reducing cones columns in the cement silos of a factory appeared a lot of damage during use. Take two methods to checking the axial pressure of the column, and found out that the shortage of bearing capacity of the column in the original design is one of the main causes lead to the destruction. Through the modeling and analysis of pressure reducing cone by finite element analysis software, the output meet the results and proof this point of view. When designing the columns of pressure reducing cone, it is more reasonable to use normal and tangential pressure calculation formula of the hopper to calculate the load.

Abstract: The research, based on combination system of solar energy and municipal heating network, studied the running scheme of combination system of solar energy and municipal heating network through ways of experiments and theoretical calculation of the mathematical model. Firstly, the research established mathematical model of heat equilibrium of the combination system of solar energy and municipal heating network; secondly, keeping the indoor heat load steady, compared the dynamic heat load provided by solar collector with that needed by heated room at the same time,determined time spans of the network stopping service and the heat load added by the network within 24 h. In the research we took a heating period in a typical room in Shenyang for example, under the conditions of low temperature floor radiant with heating index standard of 50W/ m2 and 50°C of the average supplied water temperature, 40 °C of the return water temperature, calculated and verified the established mathematical model. The results include: when the heat load provided by solar collector is greater or less than the heat needed by the room, how many heat amount should be supplied by the running network and the amount of water flow within the network pipes correspondingly, and how long the network runs or stops. The final conclusions include: whether the running scheme of the combination system can save energy the conditions of energy saving in running a combination system, and whether the system can bring environmental benefits.

Abstract: Given that the current security situation of tailing reservoir is not optimistic in China, and the loss of stability of tailing dam has caused great harm to people's life and property, the article emphasizes the importance of saturation line position to the stability of tailing dam, and analyses several key influencing factors of the saturation line position, at the same time, some measures of controlling the rising of saturation line are put forward to improve the security and stability of tailing dams. In the end, it concludes with a discussion of future research consideration.
