Abstract: This paper conducts a study on some problems on the reform of incentive system for star hotel employees against the background of IT application. It emphasizes the importance of incentive mechanism for star hotel employees against the background through empirical analysis and discusses how to provide incentives to employees of star hotels so as to strengthen their awareness and quality and initiatively integrate themselves into the hotel. Moreover, this paper tries to find out an incentive mechanism fit for employees of star hotels to provide a reference for senior management of star hotels. With the advent of knowledge-based economy and the acceleration of global integration, competition between hotels are, more often than not, manifested by competitions in managerial talents. As salary system plays a decisive role in attracting and retaining talents, stimulating people’s innovative ability, and raising core competitiveness and securing sustainable development, a scientific and rational salary system has already become an important strategic prerequisite for successful corporate management. Therefore, seeking and building up a modern salary system to foster an effective incentive and restraining mechanism is not only a core issue in theories on modern business management, but also has become an urgent task of vital importance in the deepening reform of state-owned enterprises. However, currently, the lack of an effective salary management system has resulted in the sharp decline in salary attraction. As a matter of fact, though a great number of senior hotel managerial staff has realized the salary administration’s importance to the development of hotels, most of them fail to find out a feasible strategy in this aspect. As a result, they fail to uphold the tenet of “people first” for the benefit of employees. In other words, their degree of cognition over the importance of salary administration is not downright enough, not do they have a right cognizant idea for the proper place of salary administration. In recent years, there have been a serious drain and the high mobility ratio of employees, which have become a big headache that persecutes hotel managerial staff. In this sense, how to build up an objective and rational salary administration system to raise employees’ master consciousness and quality and for them to integrate themselves into the hotel has become a challenge in china’s hotel industry which demands prompt solutions.

Abstract: Project management is the discipline of planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals. A project is a temporary endeavor with a defined beginning and end (usually time-constrained, and often constrained by funding or deliverables), undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives, typically to bring about beneficial change or added value. The temporary nature of projects stands in contrast with business as usual (or operations), which are repetitive, permanent, or semi-permanent functional activities to produce products or services. In practice, the management of these two systems is often quite different, and as such requires the development of distinct technical skills and management strategies. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals and objectives while honoring the preconceived constraints. The primary constraints are scope, time, quality and budget. The secondary, and more ambitious, challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and integrate them to meet pre-defined objectives.
