Abstract: A solid adsorbent was made from bentonite and chitosan which can be used to clarification of apple juices.Chitosan loading rate on bentonite was up to 31.6% at 400 °C. Effects of important variables, such as the amount of adsorbents, pH value of juice, reaction time and temperature, etc., were investigated for analyzing the clarification effects. The optimum condition is as follows: the amount of absorbents 10 g · L-1, a duration period of 4 mins at temperature 25 °C, and transmittance of more than 80%.

Abstract: In this paper, the repaglinide chitosan microsphere crosslinked with genipin was prepared by emulsification-chemical crosslinking method, and chitosan is used as coating materials, genipin as a crosslinking agent, repaglinide as active agent, span-80 as emulsifier. The prepared microspheres were also characterized by SEM, IR and DSC. The encapsulation efficiency of repaglinide microsphere was 4.4% and the drug loading was 21.9%.

Abstract: Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate)/organoclay blends were prepared by solution blend method. The effect of organoclay on the thermal degradation and crystalline morphology properties were studied by thermogravimetry (TG)X-ray diffraction (XRD) and polarizing optical microscopy (POM) analyses. TG results indicates better processability of the blends with 5wt% organoclay than that of pure PHBV. XRD results show that the organoclay does not modify the crystal structure in the blends but only increase the intensity of diffraction peak. PHBV and PHBV/organoclay revealed integrated Maltese crossed spherulitic morphologies. While small-sized PHBV spherulites were formed when organoclay added to PHBV.

Abstract: Non-isothermal thermogravimetry analysis was applied to study the thermal decomposition kinetics of ulipristal acetate (form B). According to the experimental result, ulipristal acetate (form B) decomposed included three steps. Based on different kinetics function of corresponding thermal decomposition mechanisms and experimental data of ulipristal acetate (form B), decomposition mechanisms of three steps of ulipristal acetate (form B) were analyzed by differential method. According to fitting results of different mechanism functions, decomposition mechanisms of three steps of ulipristal acetate (form B) were determined, and three corresponding thermal decomposition dynamic functions were also obtained.

Abstract: We investigated the optical path length to tea polyphenols (TP) determination in Puer tea by near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. The NIR spectra samples include three path lengths (1mm, 2mm and 5mm). Firstly, spectra were pre-processed to eliminate useless information. Then, determination model was constructed by partial least squares regression. To study the influence of pre-processing on identification of optimal path for NIR analysis of tea polyphenols, we applied five techniques to pre-process spectra, including normalization, standardization, centralization, derivative and discrete wavelet transform. Comparison of the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the models with different path lengths show that the models constructed with spectra collected in 2mm path length gave the best results. 1mm path length gained the uncorrected determination results. Normalization, centralization and derivative are better than standardization or discrete wavelet transform for pre-processing.

Abstract: Ten structure-based pharmacophore models of Cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) inhibitors were generated by LigandScout based on COX-2 inhibitor complexes from the Protein Data Bank (PDB). The potential COX-2 inhibitors were identified from traditional Chinese medicine with the method of combinatorial screening with ten models. Based on the screening results of MDDR and the metrics of E, A% and comprehensive appraisal index (CAI), the threshold of hit frequency of molecules was defined and used to identify the active molecules from Chinese herbs. The molecules hit by not less than six pharmacophore models were taken as the screening objects of COX-2 inhibitor, and 1103 molecules were obtained.

Abstract: In this work, the producing of a series of biodegradable polylactide (PLA)/polycaprolactone (PCL) microcellular foams by rapid solvent casting method was investigated and discussed. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed the average pore size in the structure was around 7 μm and the final microstructure was a combination of open and closed cells. The effect of PCL segments added on the mechanical and thermal behaviors was studied. According to the results, PLA/PCL biomaterial had lower glass transition temperature (Tg) in comparison with neat PLA polymer. In addition, the tensile strength and elastic modulus became poor when PCL added in. For obtained better mechanical and thermal properties, EC-blocked polyisocyanate (EC-bp), which was synthesized from reaction of toluene 2, 4-diisocyanate with dimethylol propionic acid and trimethylolpropane followed by addition of ethyl cellosolve (EC), were introduced. It was found that the tensile strength and elastic modulus were significantly increased by addition of EC-bp, which can be explained by coupling effect occurred between PLA and PCL.

Abstract: Flotation column was originated from foreign countries, firstly it was mainly used in coal classification, then it has been used in nonferrous metal classification, due to the hematite iron ore resources tend to be poor, fine and complex, flotation column has the congenital advantage of micro fine minerals, therefore, this paper is according to the beneficiation technology of fine hematite ore in domestic and foreign ,through the characteristic of flotation column which is applicable to the processing of fine mineral, have good separation effect, and high enrichment ratio , flotation column are introduced in fine particle hematite beneficiation in some applications, Flotation column has a wide range of application prospects in our country fine mineral separation.

Abstract: The coating binder migration and concentration in z-direction of coating layer especially in coating surface influence the coated paper printing properties. The results indicated that with the increase of coating surface binder migration, the coated paper opacity decreases, and the K&N value decreases. The relationship of K&N value and binder concentration in surface of coating layer was linear, which indicated that compared to binder dosage concentration in coating color, the K&N value and coating surface binder concentration has higher correlation. The more uniform the binder distribution in cross section of coating layer, the greater the IGT.
