Abstract: This paper firstly summarized the latest research progress on the polymer brushes preparation by surface-initiated ARGET ATRP polymerization. It mainly includes the surface modifications of inorganic substrate (silicon dioxide and carbon nanotubes), and the organic substrate (cellulose and polymer microspheres). This method needs less catalyst and operates more easily, compared to the classical ATRP. Besides, it also has good polymerization controllability, and the polymer brushes have higher grafting density and molecular weight. Therefore, surface-initiated ARGET ATRP polymerization has become an effective method for modifying the surface of materials. Then, we prepared the polymer brush supported TEMPO by the surface-initiated ARGET ATRP and characterized.

Abstract: Based on the (Gly4Ser)3 linker, the mpb83 and mpb63 gene were fused for raising the antigenicity of single antigen. The DNA fragments of mpb83 and mpb63 were fused by splicing by overlapping extension (SOE) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) ,and the fusion gene mpb83-63 were cloned into pMD18-T vector, and then we got the recombinant plasmid pMD-83-63. pMD-83-63 and pET28a (+) were digested by BamH I and EcoR I double enzymes. The purified mpb83-63 fusion gene was subcloned into the expression vector pET28a (+),and the prokaryotic expression vector pET-83-63 was constructed. Plasmid containing pET-83-63 was transformed into competence Escherichia coli BL21(DE3).The bacterium was induced by isopropyl-β-D-thioga-lactopyranoside (IPTG) and analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE),approximately 38 kDa exogenous protein was observed on the SDS-PAGE. The protein was analyzed by using Western-blotting. The results indicated that the protein was of antigenic activity of Mycobacterium bovis. These results could serve as a basis for further studies on the usefulness of the fusion gene and its expression product in the development of DNA vaccine; living carrier vaccine; subunit vaccine and diagnostic reagents against bovine tuberculosis.

Abstract: In this paper, the method of electrodeposition of lithium both in nonaqueous solutions and molten salts was summarized, and the key problems existed were also carried out. More details for electrochemical deposition of lithium metal by ionic liquids including AlCl3-based, EMI-based, BF4--based, PF6--based, Tf2N--based, N(CN)2--based were discussed, and more works needed for lithium recovery by electrochemical method in the future was also pointed out.

Abstract: It is well known that the magnesium borates are important materials in all fields. In this paper, the process on synthesis and thermodynamic properties of several hydrated magnesium borates including MgO·2B2O3·9H2O (hungchaoite), MgO·3B2O3·7.5H2O (mcallisterite), MgO·3B2O3·7H2O, 2MgO·3B2O3·17H2O, MgO·3B2O3·5H2O (aksaite) were summarized. The key problems existed and the new trends in the future were also carried out.

Abstract: Ionic liquids (ILs) have been considered as successful alternative extraction solvents, especially, they have become potential replacements of volatile organic compound in the extraction of metal ions for the properties of negligible vapor pressure, nonflammability, high thermostability, etc. In this paper, ILs as environmental friendly solvents in liquid-liquid extractions of alkali and alkaline earth metal ions were summarized, the part of extraction phase compositions, extraction conditions and back extraction method were discussed, and the potency of applications of ILs in extraction and separation of metal ions were also commented.

Abstract: A novel kind of water-borne caprolactam-blocked non-ionic polyurethane crosslinker (CL-bnp) was prepared by prepolymer mixing process, using hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG), 1,1,1-trimethylolpropane (TMP) and caprolactam (CL). The physical properties of prepared blocked polyurethane crosslinker dispersion, such as viscosity, pH and storage stability were measured. The chemical structure and its de-blocking temperature (Tde) were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), and thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques. The FTIR confirmed that the NCO groups of the original HDI molecule were completely blocked by this blocking agent. The thermal analysis measurements revealed that the maximum de-blocking ratio temperature of CL-bnp was around 160-170 °C

Abstract: The article based on several iron ore flotation processes at home and abroad described the collectors at home and abroad development as the flotation process of constantly improving. For different stages of development the article also introducted representative collectors which some iron ore beneficiation plant use briefly, and then explained the details of domestic current high quality collectors. Finally the article prospected the development trend of domestic collectors.

Abstract: Fourier transform (FT) infrared (IR) and Raman spectra of powders in the Biqi capsule, a commercially available national-level combination medicine, are measured to check the information on the most important active ingredient strychnine, which is in fact a highly toxic drug. Referring to the published FTIR absorption and FT Raman spectral data, from our ones we have found that the active ingredient - strychnine in our purchased Biqi capsule really exists and its net content is really not so high and therefore may not cause a serious harm to patients if an approved dosage is eaten. From this study one can see that the IR spectroscopic method is more suitable for this kind of drug identification than the Raman one using the Raman spectroscope in this experiment because strong fluorescent signals excited by lasers on the pharmaceutical excipients and other subordinate active ingredients generally cover up the fingerprint signals of the active ingredient in the drug.

Abstract: Poly (trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT)/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) blends have been prepared in composition with various ratios using the twin screw extruder approach. Their morphologies and crystallization behavior were investigated. Typical sea-island morphologies were observed by scanning electron microscopy. The partical size of ABS increased as the content of ABS increasing. Differential scanning colorimetry (DSC) experiments showed that the melting point of pure PTT and their blends was almost constant. The presence of the ABS increased the crystallinity of the matrix in PTT/ABS blends with ABS content less than 30wt%.

Abstract: The paper foucs on utiliztion of blueberry to develop a high quality low alcohol blueberry semi-sweet wine and analysis of aroma compounds in the wine. Blueberry from Tianjin Jixian was used as raw materials and ultrasound technology was used to end fermentation of blueberry must when alcohol content reached to the desired value. Various physical-chemical parameters of the wine were determined and the main aroma compounds in blueberry wine were analyzed quantitively.Taste panel evaluation was carried out to evaluate the acceptbility of the blueberry wine. The results showed that combination of pectinase (85%),cellulase (10%) and hemicellulase (5%)(total level:0.3g/L) increased the blueberry juice extraction to 55%, the wine treated by ultrasound (40Hz,20min) had a high microbial stability and a desired low alcohol content. At the same time,the wine rich in typical blueberry flavor and aromas, with a pleasant fruity taste and good acceptability.
