Abstract: Finish blanking is one of the precision shearing processes and it has some features such as the formability of a high ratio of the burnished surface, lower surface expansion ratio of the burnished surface. The purpose of the present work is to clarify the effect of the tool shape in finish blanking on galling behavior. A high-tensile-strength-steel plate with a thickness of 6mm is used in the present paper. The edge shape of punch is changed while the clearance is kept to 12%t. Galling is observed except for the PW punch with the edge angle of 30 degrees at the first shearing operation. In the case of the PW punch with the edge angle of 30 degrees, galling cant be found clearly even when the shearing number increases until 20. The burnished surface has a glossy part with the clean metal for the punches except for the PW punch with the edge angle of 30 degree. It is found that the glossy part is generated after fracture occurs at the punch edge and then causes galling.

Abstract: Today, savings and efficient use of materials are an integral and important component of design processes and production. The typical multi-purpose devices with portability in biomedical engineering and physiotherapy are visible. Due to high usage and importance of these features, particularly their combination in the treatment of a wide range of patients, the process of treatment for the patient and medical groups could be faster, easier and pleasurable. This article is presented a multifunctional physiotherapy device design that combines the most effective as well as commonly used therapies. In addition, savings in materials, efficient use of energy and reducing manufacturing process, simple, comfortable, pleasant and effective treatment process for both physiotherapists and for a broad class of patients may be represented.

Abstract: Balance disorders which are widespread among old people can be caused by different reasons such as diseases or accidents. Vertigo and falling down are some of the common symptoms. Various products and equipments have been presented in order to diagnose and treatment this kind of disorders. Computerized dynamic posturography system is one of the most popular equipments which is used for diagnosing and measuring human balance and converts them to numerical data output. In order to provide a new and efficient product, this article present a novel design under the title of: IBAS:Interactive Body Balance System by making use of scenario-based design (interaction design). Its ultimate goal is to improve treatment process and make progress in the balance abilities of the users. Also, designing and producing the product in the country considering the Iranian users needs and production limitations brings about a localized production and consequently, a dramatic cost reduction.

Abstract: Failure of cutting tools significantly decreases machining productivity and product quality, thus, tool condition monitoring is significant in modern manufacturing processes. In this paper, a novel method based on singular value decomposition (SVD) and Linear Discriminant analysis (LDA) is proposed for detection of different broken tooth via spindle-motor current signals generated in end milling process. First, SVD algorithm is adopted to extract the useful singular values as salient features for indicating the tool state. Then classify the tool breakage event based on the selected features through the LDA technique. The experiments on a CNC Vertical Machining Centre show that this method is effective and can accurately classify the different broken tooth in end mill process.

Abstract: Interference-fit joining of tubes by electromagnetic forming is an innovative and environmental friendly technology that can successfully replace conventional joining technologies based on fasteners, structural adhesives, welding and brazing. The technology works at room temperature, allows joining dissimilar materials and offers potential to foster new applications in the assembly of lightweight tubular frame structures. As with all new technologies, there is a need to understand interference-fit joining of tubes by electromagnetic forming in terms of its major parameters with the aim of identifying their influence on the overall strength of the joints and establishing the useful range of process operating conditions. This article investigates the interference-fit joining of aluminum-alloy tubes (AA6082-O) with mandrels made from different metallic and polymeric materials (AA6082-O, AISI1045 and Erlaton 6SA). Results show that the strength of the joint and the associated failure mechanisms are directly related to process parameters and materials.

Abstract: With the aid of discrete element software EDEM simulation under the same size, the acceleration of particles under different channel model and speed, and analyze the throwing speed and force. The result show that speed is important influence factors of granular acceleration and speed of throwing, but excessive speed will not only increase grain stress, but also can make particle fluctuations increased significantly, channel length and the starting position has a significantly influence on particle acceleration levels, the smaller of the channels initial distance, the better of the particle acceleration effect, particles thrown speed as the speed rises, the level of volatility is not always to rise.

Abstract: The receiving characteristics of the 90 degrees offset parabolic reflector antenna with multi-beam at millimeter-wave band are analyzed. A tentative analysis is made by using the plane receiving array instead of the traditional curved surface receiving array. The diffraction speckle on the receiving plane of the incident beam with various angles is calculated and analyzed by adopting the combination method of Ray-tracing and Stratton-Chu vector diffraction integral. The numerical results indicate that it is available by using the plane receiving array instead of the curved surface receiving array to the beam in some incident angles in the 90 degrees offset parabolic reflector antenna at millimeter-wave band.
