Abstract: The core of the numerical manifold method (NMM) is a two-mesh problem description. Two meshes are employed in an analysis: the mathematical mesh provides the nodes for building a finite covering of the solution domain, while the physical mesh provides the domain of integration. The NMM can deal with the continuum and discontinuous problem, and has been applied to the rock mechanics and engineering widely. This paper introduces the research progress of the NMM in the basic theory and application aspects. The adaptive mesh generation of NMM is discussed. The adaptive finite cover mesh reconstruction technology is given.

Abstract: The aim of this article was to evaluate the qualitative and quantitative variables influencing the wheat insurance purchasing decisions using farm level survey data in Hebei Province of China. The field surveys were carried out using questionnaire, focus group discussion and on site visit throughout in the targeted rural areas. Software Eview 6.00 and the binary logit regression model were used to determine the main factors influencing the farmers’ wheat insurance purchasing decisions. Results revealed that majority of the farmers were associated with the insuring of their wheat crop in different ways. In the focus group discussion it was found that the study area has been more prone to natural disasters and the wheat productivity was also affected. However, the findings presented in the article may help to improve the farmers’ wheat insurance purchasing decisions.

Abstract: Data mining can be used to make modeling for individual learner's usage record, combining with learner's basic information to make analysis of his habits, personal preferences to provide personalized service for the learner. At the same time by collecting and counting learners’ recent access information in micro course platform to analyse the learning content, compare and match with mining pattern, and to sort according to the matching degree, forecasting the most possible knowledge for the learner in the next step, attaching sorting result to the end of the learner’s requested page, for the learning content recommendation consequently, etc. Paper mainly introduced the specific application of data mining in micro course platform BBS.

Abstract: The evaluation object is defined more reasonable. This paper establishes the student evaluation system by scientific questionnaire firstly, then determines the index weights by using AHP, thirdly quantifies the qualitative indexes according to the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Finally we get each student’s score of the student evaluation system. Aiming at freshmen and sophomore , the student evaluation system can objectively reflect the students' comprehensive quality and have a guiding significance for improving the students' comprehensive quality.

Abstract: As the operation cores for construction enterprises, construction organization design and engineering cost interact with each other and are closely related. The scientific construction organization design is to have comprehensive plan and overall design for the time, space and resources of the engineering construction, seen as the foundation of engineering cost and the core of cost management. The confirmation of project cost is largely attributed to the construction management plan since only according to the rational construction scheme and construction technology can the correct unit price for the project be calculated before the reasonable offer of engineering cost which assures the smooth progress of construction organization..

Abstract: Currently, the demand for Chinese environmental protection talents has following features: The work field of environmental protection moves down, so the basic level of environmental protection talents are much needed. Also, the construction and management on urban environmental protection infrastructure is enhanced, so the facility operation and management personnel are much needed. And the structure of environmental protection industry becomes increasingly complicated, so the new type of interdisciplinary talents are much needed. In order to meet the demand for environmental protection talents, the countermeasures about talent training are shown as below: we shall timely adjust the overall arrangement of subject and major based on the demand for environmental protection industry, and the stakeholders shall have a comprehensive cooperation to establish a long-term mechanism for environmental protection talents training.

Abstract: Graduation practice, which is carried on after the students have completed all the major courses, is an important part of practical teaching. It is the basis of graduation design and thesis. We took students to a mine in Zhang Village, located in the middle energy area of Hebei Province, and realized some problems existing in the practice of mining engineering. In this paper, we propose some measures adopted in the practice and their effects. Furthermore, we propose some suggestions for improvement.
