The Intelligent Care System for Cardiac Patient

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper introduces a real-time monitoring system for cardiac patient, the system is made up of three main sub-systems: patient physical states data acquisition system based on wireless sensors, wireless communication system and hospital monitoring and control centre. The patient physical states data acquisition system monitors the main physical parameters and movement status continuously. The information from data acquisition system is sent to hospital monitoring centre by wireless communication system. The monitoring centre receives the information from each patient and save them to database, then judge the state of patient by Dempster-Shafer evidence theory. The data from patient can be displayed as graph on computer screen if it is necessary, and then the doctor can diagnose the patient according to the continuous data.
