Article Preview

Abstract:

The article deals with the state of load-bearing structure of a hall which is exposed to effects of chemically aggressive environment during its use. Technology for production of nitrogen fertilizer is located in its premises. The structure was built in 1975 and, being adequately maintained, still remains in its original state. A detailed inspection of the load-bearing structural members, as well as a static calculation, was made between 2012 and 2015. The observed state of the structure and the results of calculations indicated that certain parts required strengthening. The article describes the means of strengthening which were proposed and used.
