Use Discolor Spectrophotometry to Characterize Chelate Property of Nanoparticle

Article Preview

Abstract:

An evaluation method for characterizing the chelate property of modified nanoparticles were described, the chelate ability of modified polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) nanoparticle with metal ions was evaluated by using simple discolor spectrophotometry in NaCl solution, and the highest sensitivity was used for quantitative depicting the chelate ability with Pb ions after modified. The present method provided a simple and facile method for evaluating the chelate ability of modified nanoparticles which played an important role for fabricating nanocomposites.
