Introduction Dies, moulds and complex shapes made of advanced materials require a high quality surface finish.
This process can finish the materials ranging from soft aluminum to tough advanced materials.
Al alloy is softer material compared to its MMCs so it is sheared more for the same input conditions compared to other two materials.

A broad spectrum of materials are used in footwear construction as outsole but PVC is widely used which is manufactured from monomer named vinyl chloride.
In preparation of outsole wide spectrum of materials such as Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC), Poly Urethane (PU), Thermoplastic rubber (TPR), Nylon is used.

According to the similarity principle the mechanical parameters of sandstone, rock bolts and their corresponding similar materials used in tests are shown in Table 1 and 2 when the similarity ration is designed as 10.
Table 1 Physical and mechanical parameters for rock-like materials and sandstone parameters Compressive strength σc[MPa] Tensile strengh σt[MPa] Elastic modulus E[GPa] Poission ratio ν Toughness KIC[MPa·m0.5] Unit weight ρ[g·cm-3] Rock-like material 35.54 2.82 17.92 0.192 0.512 2.3 Sandstone 20~170 4~25 4.9~78.5 0.02-0.2 0.22~2.26 2.1 Table 2 Mechanical parameters for rock bolt and rockbolt-like material parameters Tensile strengh σt[MPa] Elastic modulus E[GPa] Rockbolt-like material 50-60 20-22 Rockbolt 500-600 200-220 A new rubber powder modified cement mortar is made to satisfy the similarity principle.
Its mechanical properties depend on the materials and manufacture techniques for the glass fiber reinforce plastic.
