The different structures and materials make different anti-deformation capability of subgrades. It is unscientific to consider the highway destroy situation according to the standard of brick-concrete buildings because subgrade materials of highway are mostly soil or gravel and other loose materials.
The difference of structures and materials determines there is no recognized criterion to judge the subgrade of highway is safe or not.
The subgrade materials are mostly local materials as gravel soil, sandy soil, detritus and so on.

However, the increased open porosity is connected also with the increase of the absorbability of ceramic materials, which should be taken into consideration in a direct exposure of materials to atmospheric conditions.

In this process, powder material is embedded as a thin layer to be sintered or melted by laser scanning.
Authors have reported that porous materials can be fabricated by this process in order to make artificial bone [11].
Precise and fine honeycomb structures of Ti-6Al-7Nb were fabricated by an improved laser forming process to develop new scaffold materials.
