The room-temperature compression behavior was analyzed through experiments, showing that the microstructures of the alloys are consisted of a-Mg and quasicrystal I-Mg3Zn6Y phases.
We take the high pressure samples into the graphite assembly sleeve, and then assemble it into the position of the cavity pressure graphite assembly sleeve six anvil, to start the high pressure solidification experiments with the hammers aiming at the samples[11].
Fig. 2 The compression stress-strain curve of the alloys solidified under different pressure at room temperature 200 mm (a) 200 mm (d) 200 mm (b) 200 mm (c) Fig.1 The SEM micrographs of the Mg-6Zn-2Y solidified under different pressure a) Solidification at constant pressure;b) 2 GPa-950°C;c) 4 GPa-1000°C,d) 6 GPa-1050° 3.2 Stress-strain curves of different experimental alloy compressed at room temperature and solidified under different pressure Figure.2 shows the temperature compression deformation stress-strain curves of alloy processed under different solidification pressure at room temperature.
Both of the compressive strength and yield strength of the alloys processed under 2 GPa increased about 8% comparing to those of the alloys processed under atmospheric pressure.

The results show that the mechanical properties of Ti-3873 alloys were better than those of Ti-3573 alloys.
There are many types of titanium alloys such as α, near α, α + β, metastable β and β titanium alloys.
With the increasing demand for the performance of titanium alloys, the current conventional titanium alloys can not meet the performance requirements, it is necessary for us to develop new beta titanium alloys.
The present work aims at studying the influence of aging treatment time after cold rolling in new beta titanium alloys(Ti-3573 and Ti-3873).

The study is aimed at comparing the changes which occur in the microstructure and thermo-physical properties of pure copper (99.9%) and when copper alloyed with chromium and zirconium subjected to severe plastic deformation (SPD).
The aim of the study was to demonstrate how strongly the SPD technique (or a combination of various techniques) employed affects the thermo-physical properties of the treated material.
