After the pioneering work by Iijima in 1991 [7], recent developments in the field of carbon nanostructured materials, such as Carbon Nanofibers (CNF) and Nanotubes (CNT), have generated tremendous interest particularly towards their application as catalyst supports.
This will involve investigation of two key challenges: firstly, obtaining good attachment of CNF to the microchannel walls and, secondly, controlled growth of CNF inside microchannels.
The purity of Ni target material was 99.99%, and at least 99.95% for adhesion metals.

Welding distortion is a partial plastic deformation from internal stresses caused by non-uniform temperature fields on metal components in welding reach the material yield limit.
Regarding the significant influence of welding distortion on product quality and great importance from engineering field attached, there have been a lot of researches on the generation mechanism of welding distortions for an effective control to guarantee the product quality, while the repair of welding distortion could be avoided as much as possible.
The successful engineering projects indicated that the method was very effective for the prediction of welding distortions in large complex structures.
A professional engineering software (WSDP) developed for inherent stain and welding distortion analysis is introduced for calculations of complex structures.
