Department of Materials Science at Silesian University of Technology since 10 years conducts researches to learn about the structural phenomena which occur during hot plastic treatment which are aimed at elaboration of a technology of heat and plastic treatment of selected alloys from Al-Fe diagram.
The interest in this group of materials is caused by their low cost, low density, good resistance to abrasive wear as well as resistance to oxidation and corrosion, which creates broad perspective for their application in power, chemical, and petrochemical, naval and food industry.

Abstract: To obtain fatigue design data of the train wheel steel , the fatigue tests were carried out for the steel of K type and B type train wheel separately, which fatigue limit was measured using the fluctuation method, the fatigue life of two kinds of wheel steels were tested using the grouping method at the three stress levels, two different materials and different structures have an influence on the fatigue properties of the wheels using reliability principle.

However their works concentrate on structural stiffness of wing structure on different wing materials and techniques to determine flutter.
Recently, even the low speed aircraft like Human Powered Aircraft (HPA) exhibit flutter with the usage of light weight and flexible materials [2].
From the tensile test conducted on the flat plate composite wing, the specimen possessed the behaviors of composite materials.
