Experimental cutting tests were done to characterize the behavior of the coating in face milling of AISI 660 heat resistant alloy: varying cutting speeds from 15 to 40 m/min it was finally assessed that a multilayer coating can give higher tool life with respect to a monolayer coating of the same composition.
In this paper the characterization of a coating for interrupted metal cutting application is presented, the aim of the study was to identify the characteristics of a tougher coating that could enhance tool life in interrupted cutting applications such as milling, broaching, sawing etc.
After characterizing adhesion and microstructure, their wear resistance in cutting condition was compared in milling of a heat resistant AISI 660 alloy.

Beside that looping performance also be attributable to the amount of alloying dopants in as-drawn gold wire.
Therefore, aim of this study to find out why different behavior occurs from similar type of gold wire.
Fig: 2 show elements of wire A and wire B while table 3 show calculated atomic percentage of elements to compare percentage of same alloying elements.

The aim of the current study is to perform a failure analysis on specimens extracted from 4 mm sheets of AZ31B, according to ASTM 4377G and 3 mm sheets of Cu99 alloys according to SR EN 1652:2000, that were joined together using FSW and FSW-IG processes.
The resulting composition is in agreement with other Cu99 alloys.

The present study aims to investigate the effects of welding speed and fixed location of material on microstructure, hardness distribution, and tensile properties of AA7075-T6 Aluminium alloy joints produced by FSW.
The weld region exhibits the ‘W’ shaped hardness distribution which is typical of many friction stir welds in precipitation hardening alloys.
Final polishing was done using the diamond compound (1μm particle size) in the disc polishing machine.

At present, the researchers often use red phosphorus, phosphorus compounds, rare earth or phosphorus inter-alloys to modify the hypereutectic Al-Si Alloy.
The results of the alloys modified by 0.09 wt% Sr are the same as those of the alloys modified by 0.08 wt% Sr.
