Edited by: Yung-Jen Lin and Wen-Cheng J. Wei
Online since: June 2008
Description: Engineering materials have long been challenges to, as well as the foundations of, industries and technologies. New technologies and new devices become available largely through the introduction of new materials or the improvement of existing materials.
Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).

Online since: March 2008
Description: This work on the fracture, fatigue and strength of materials comprises 238 peer-reviewed papers covering new ideas and up-to-date results. It is anticipated that this special volume will stimulate and enhance progress in fracture mechanics, materials behavior and computational science research, as well as advancing fundamental understanding in these fields.
Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
Edited by: Dr. T. S. Srivatsan, FASM, FASME
Online since: March 2008
Description: This special-topic book consists of a collection of technical papers assembled under the rubric of “Advances in Understanding the Fatigue Behavior of Materials”. The focus of “Fatigue Behavior of Materials” centers on the changes in properties that occur upon applying cyclic loads. Following its recognition and increasing importance during the latter half of the nineteenth century, this branch of study has focused upon the study and rationalization of the engineering approaches that are commonly used to design against the initiation and/or propagation of the fatigue damage which would otherwise culminate in catastrophic failure.

Online since: August 2007
Description: Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
The objective of this collection was to gather together the latest information on the mechanical behavior of materials. The volumes cover the progress made in all aspects of the mechanical behavior of materials, seen from both the macroscopic and microscopic viewpoints.
Edited by: Soon-Bok Lee and Yun-Jae Kim
Online since: December 2006
Description: Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS).
The main focus of this book is the rapidly expanding new field of experimental mechanics, as applied to nano and biotechnology, which is enthusiastically responding to the advances in these technologies and to the increasing need for precise measurements of novel materials and biological tissues. For instance, whereas optical techniques had previously been preferred, particularly in the field of bio-engineering, other mature methods are now being exploited in tandem with the growth in micro- and nano-manufacturing.
