Abstract: In the process of steel plate ultrasonic flaw detection, once the instrumentation discovers the flaw, a sign is stenciled in the vertical direction of the flaw, because there is a distance between the detector and stenciling, an effective method must be applied to reasonably control the stenciling, in order to achieve the precise stenciling. Based on characteristics of the steel plate flaw detection process, the delay distance between each group of detectors and stenciling has been analyzed, simultaneously based on the flaw detection speed, stenciling delay data has obtained. Stenciling delay structure is developed using the computer software technique, instead of hardware control mode, software algorithm is carried out to design, which has achieved the goal of convenience application and precise orientation.

Abstract: In the process of spiral submerged-arc welding automatic flaw detection, the weld edge reflection echo is very close to the back edge of the detection gate (generally around 3Ls, is equal to steel transversal wave approximately 4.5mm); therefore once the detector approaches the welding seam, the edge refection echo will enter in the gate, which causes the false alarming. In the past, the mechanical cam tracking, approaching switches tracking and photograph tracking methods were applied, but the mechanical cam tracking and the approaching switches tracking method have low precision, the result is not good. Although photograph tracking method has high measure precision, because of the light scattering of the water flow on the surface of the steel pipe, which will affect the precision. Both photograph tracking and stepping motor-driven methods is commonly used national wide, the effect is not good. Base on the above situation, the electromagnetic welding seam tracking and servo control electromechanical system with functions of electromagnetic tracking and servo control is developed.

Abstract: Piezoelectric actuators used in vibration control and high precision control have been known widely in recent years. Especially in aeronautics and MEMS systems, their use is spread from vibration suppression to position control. In this paper, a finite element model (FEM) of a piezoelectric actuator and cantilever in thermal environment is presented to suppress vibration effectively. In other words, the finite element model is namely thermal-electrical-mechanical coupled FEM. Based on a 8-node plane finite element, the modal analysis, the harmonic analysis and the transient analysis have been obtained in the current work. Therefore a transfer function model will be attained through the harmonic analysis by identification method in order to control vibration by control law. In addition, the controller will be designed with the adaptive pole placement control (APPC). Finally, through simulation, the thermal influence is considerable for natural frequencies, harmonic response and free vibration. Moreover, the APPC is a significant plan to vibration control in the paper.

Abstract: This research deals with the CO2/CO Dual Sensor Module measuring CO2 and CO, that is the representative environmental harmful material, simultaneously. In the measurement of the CO2 and CO generally, the Non-Dispersive InfraRed method(NDIR method) is used for the precise measurement and durability. This method is to measure the concentration of the gas by using the Lambert-beer rule. When measuring the gas density with the NDIR method, the important factor is the apparatus for being called an optical chamber consisting of the emitter sensor and detector sensor are used for measuring concentration of the gas. Thus, this paper introduces an optical chamber of the new way of using the NDIR method and through this, shows an experimental result of the CO2 gas concentration measurement and it presents possibility for measurement of the concentration of the CO.

Abstract: Ozone (O3) is generated by voltage control inverter of single phase sinusoidal waveform different from current control inverter of three phase used in motor control. Ozone quantity is directly proportional to the frequency as well as the voltage of power supply. In this paper, we propose not only a voltage control inverter of 600Hz and step-up transformer from 220V to 12KV using IGBT, but also fuzzy inference engine using MADANI Min-Max composition so as to generate the high density ozone generation. We substantiate that the proposed Ozone generation system produces the double quantity of ozone and higher efficiency than conventional ozone system using the current control inverter through lots of real experiments on the developed ozone system.

Abstract: It is so obvious that we have to consider factors of costs, the QoS (Quality of Service), and performance analysis for the design of an optical network. The models of Traffic and availability are significant factors for achieving the performance analysis from the initial step to deploying network. But current traffic models are solely used by a single segment. Whole networks are extended from a sing traffic model. On the other hand an availability model is just used to find the rate of hardware failures. In this paper, we implemented an availability model with regional conformance by inversely analyzing the definition of availability. Also, we computed the number of nodes and links to configure the logical topology of optical networks by using our designed availability. Furthermore, we proposed a method to design an optical network by using our novel availability model.

Abstract: In Sasang Medicine, which is a part of Eastern Traditional Medicine, human body is classified by constitutions for diagnosis and treatment. In this study, a fundamental study on the ways and means of measuring the constitutions is classified in Sasang Medicine. A method of measuring ASC (Acupuncture Spot Current) through acupuncture spots on human body is proposed, together with a way to extract characteristic points of measured signals. Based on the characteristic analysis of the measured ASC, it is able to define the measured signals of experimental targets through classification, and the defined characteristics of ASC were determined to be able to be utilized in developing systems for medical constitutional classification.

Abstract: Volume rendering can be used to exhibit the shape and volumetric properties of 3-D objects. However, it requires a considerable amount of time to process the large volume of data. In this article we present a speed-up method by pre-computing some data of the shading model. We index voxel surface normal by and in spherical coordinate system. Each voxel surface normal is pre-computed and stored in array of values [ ]. Some values of the shading model related to voxel surface normal and light vector are also stored. Each rendering we only need updating these values for shading calculation. We found that our speed-up method can reduce about one fourth of computing time but need less additional memory to store surface normal using this spherical index method.

Abstract: Recently, ubiquitous networks have become increasingly popular and many devices are connected to them. Devices owned by individuals will proliferate in the future, and we can obtain much information from them and new services will be generated. To use such services, a device management system is quite important for using and controlling the devices. In this paper, a device management system using SNS information is described, and the basic design of the proposed system is discussed.

Abstract: This paper presents the basic design of a new web service search technique for mobile mashup. Web service search means searching web APIs to build a new mobile mashup service. The technique is based on user-oriented profiling and can be easily used on mobile devices. For web service search, a user must know the details of a web service in advance. However, conventional service search cannot provide such information on whether the web service can be used for the mashup. This study discusses a user-oriented web service search technique for mobile mashup. Its key feature is that users can easily search for web services that use mashup on mobile phones without knowing the details.
