Abstract: Spent bleaching clay(SBC) is a kind of discarded by-products from edible vegetable oil factory, often resulting in environment pollution. This study aimed to explore a feasible approach to comprehensively utilize the SBC for replacing coal ash to produce unburned and environmental brick(UEB). Through a series of experiments, and considering the cost and acceptability of bricks, the optimal conditions for producing UEB was obtained. The defatted SBC is added 25 %, fine fine sand 25 %, small pebble 30 %, cement 12 %, lime 8 %, the molding pressure is 20 MPa, and the molding moisture was 10 %. Under this condition, the average compressive strength of the UEB with 28-day storage can reach up to 18.11 MPa, higher than the value of 15 MPa in the unburned brick produced from standard coal ash.

Abstract: The petroleum resin emulsion was prepared from the C5-C9 petroleum resin, malay rosin, maleic anhydride, anhydrous aluminium sulfate, NaOH and water. The influence of manufacturing parameters on the emul¬sion included the modification time and temperature, the dosage of the malay rosin, the stabilizing agent and the alkali liquor. The test results showed that w (C5-C9)=31.5%, w (Maleic anhydride)=1.5%, w (Maleic rosin)=10%, w (anhydrous aluminium sulfate)=0.6%, the alkali liquor was NaOH with 10% concentration, the modification temperature was 200 °C, the the modification time was 3 hours, the saponification temperature was 120 °C, the saponification time was half an hour, the emulsifying temperature was 95°C. Under these conditions, the petroleum resin emulsion was prepared with its particle size equating to 111.193 μm.

Abstract: The objective of this work is to find the way of diameter and ratio of steel reinforcement impacting upon crack resistance of ready-mixed concrete. By analyzing the bonding theory of steel and ready-mixed concrete, as well as making an experimental study of plate cracking performance, it comes to the best reinforcement ratio. The conclusions are based on physical reasoning and available experimental dates, which can provide the user with references.

Abstract: The crack resistance evaluation indexes of concrete were chosen, which were used to study the influence of ultra-fine fly ash on the crack resistance of pavement concrete. The concrete flat test was made to testify the concluded law. The test results show that composite ultra-fine fly ash improves the crack resistance of pavement concrete. The main reason is that it reduces the elastic modulus and drying shrinkage of concrete and improves the ultimate tensile deformation capacity.

Abstract: Under high temperature conditions, such as fire, high-performance concrete will undergo material degradation or even spalling. Spalling is the most detrimental to concrete structures. To prevent concrete from spalling, the mechanism should be understood. Since the build-up vapor pressure in concrete is supposed to play a dominant role in spalling, a vapor pressure prediction model is proposed in this paper to quantitatively analyze the vapor pressure, which can be used for the spalling mechanism study.

Abstract: High performance concrete was disposed under Portland cement dosage 270-310kg/m3 , fly ash blend percentage 40-50 and composite admixture. Workability of the concrete satisfy pumping requirement.28 day compression strength reach 31-44MPa, 90 day compression strength reach 40-56MPa.

Abstract: It is essential that concrete component is made up with aggregate, sand, cement and water. But recently, Public concern is increasing of a variety structure, resource recycle. Also, According to heat of hydration rising, Concrete is making a causative of concrete-crack. Concrete-crack causes a falling-off in quality of concrete. Therefore, high-performance concrete is evaluated by concrete mechanical properties (compressive strength, splitting tensile strength) with different admixture (fixing W/B 34%), fly ash, blast furnace slag, and silica fume replacement ratio (50%, 50%, and 25%).

Abstract: To meet the demand of performance of slipform concrete in a well tower in winter, different blend ratios of early strength water reducing agents were added to the concrete. Compared with reference concrete, their setting time test analyses, workability analyses and tests of mechanical performance and removal of forms were conducted in the laboratory. The results show that concrete with FS-A early strength water reducing agent can greatly improve early strength of concrete and meet the demand of relevant performance of slipform. This research may provide reference for design of mix proportion and construction in similar slipform project.

Abstract: Based on the four-phase sphere model, a five-phase sphere model predicting the elastic modulus of FRP-confined concrete was built up, by considering the effect of FRP sheet. The model can describe the elastic modulus of the FRP, the stirrup ratio, the aggregate volume fraction, the aggregate size and the interfacial transition zone (ITZ), et al. on the development of the elastic modulus of FRP-confined concrete with age. By comparing with the experimental data, the five-phase sphere model evaluates the tests well
